The "Musical Memories" flashback seen in the episode's original 2007 broadcast is a musical number from the June 4, 1983, episode of Son of Svengoolie (1978), showcasing Bride of Frankenstein (1935). The song, "Castle of Shock", is a parody of "Chapel of Love" by The Dixie Cups. Then-WFLD art director Cathy Mustari portrays the Monster's Bride. (This scene was dropped from later broadcasts in favor of new content.)
The Sven Song introduced in the 2015 broadcast is a parody of "Ta-ra-ra Boom-de-ay".
