- Shaw joins a team of international thieves in order to keep tabs on the latest POI, but an unexpected turn of events puts her in danger of being detected by Samaritan. Also, Finch and Root undertake a dangerous sabotage mission.
- Finch and Root have to deal with the next threat by Samaritan through its appointed New York Governor Nicholas Dawson. He has funneled $12 million into a fraudulent charity, OTPS, led by a man named Jared Wilkins. OTPS has no online or public electronic presence. So Finch and Root have to discover what OTPS is a front for, and what Wilkins' story is. Meanwhile, Shaw is tasked with being the lead tail on the next number, that belonging to Tomas Koroa, a Spanish-American wine dealer who travels the world for his job. He uses his good looks and suave charm to his advantage, those assets which are not lost even on Shaw. The team believes he is the target until they catch him in a high stakes smash and grab, the modus operandi which is key to the Hole in the Wall gang, who have eluded Interpol for years. In the gang's history, only one member of the gang has ever been captured, Marko Jevdice, who was eventually killed. Shaw, using her street criminal cover, infiltrates the gang for their next job, the theft of some jewels. But not is all that it seems on the surface, with the gang, Tomas' client and the true nature of the bounty being key to discovering the entire story. Shaw finds that her cover with respect to Samaritan is most at risk in protecting the target. Through both the tasks concerning OTPS and Tomas, Finch continues to question whether if what they are doing is worth it for what seems to be the increasingly negative things they are required to do in the process.—Huggo
- After a gold heist, Shaw leaves the gang of thieves led by Romeo. The Machine delivers the number of the international wine dealer Tomas Koroa, who spends his life between Spain and United States. Meanwhile, the new governor Nicholas Dawson approves a twelve-million-dollar donation to the OTPS charity, owned by Jared Wilkins. Shaw stalks Tomas and sees he and three other thieves robbing a jewelry shop. Shaw learns that Tomas is the leader of the notorious international gang of thieves Hole in the Wall Gang, composed by Katya, Henrik and Max. In seven years of activity, only one member, Marko Jevdic, was captured and died while he was imprisoned. Soon Reese plants drugs inside Katya Rodchenko's purse and Fusco arrests her for drug possession. Romeo indicates Shaw to replace Katya in the next heist. Shaw meets with Tomas at a bar and together with Henrik and Max, they head to the heist hired by a mysterious client. The robbery is well succeeded but soon Shaw and Tomas learn that they have been lured Henrik and Max, and they have just robbed vials of a dangerous virus. Henrik and Max flee with the vials, and now, Reese, Shaw, Fusco and Tomas want to retrieve the ten vials from a fortress where they are stored. Decima and the Secret Service also want the vials. Meanwhile Root poses as babysitter for Wilkin's son and finds that One Tablet Per Student (OTPS) seems to be a legitimate charity.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- Open with Shaw driving her team of thieves away from a gold job. Afterward she tosses their loot in the river and knocks them all unconscious.
The latest number is US/Spanish dual citizen named Tomas, who is an international wine dealer.
Finch and Root discuss Nicholas Dawson, Samaritan's choice for governor. They can't get close to him directly, so Finch thinks they need to undermine his work. Dawson first act was to approve $12 million for a man named Jared Wilkins and his mysterious charity called OTPS. Root is currently posing as a nanny which allows her to swoop in when the nearby Wilkins struggles with his young son.
After hours of boring wine dealing, Shaw watches Tomas lead three other people in a perfect smash-and-grab robbery of a jewelry shop. He is the leader of an international jewel thief operation called the Hole in the Wall Gang. In seven years a man named Marko Jevdic is the only member to ever disappear, having died in custody under strange circumstances.
After Fusco manages to compromise Katya, the female member of Tomas' gang, Shaw works to get herself brought in.
Root has installed herself as Wilkins' nanny. She helps Finch get into Wilkins' computer and he finds out that OTPS, One Tablet Per Student, might be legitimate after all. Root then finds her smart phone has been hacked, likely by Samaritan. She bolts.
Shaw meets with Tomas at a bar. During a conversation filled with flirtations he brings her back to gang HQ and asks the other two members if they should hire her. Shaw gets the thumbs up and is told the operations begins in a few minutes.
Shaw pretends to be a wealthy woman looking to have her personal jewels stored at the hotel safe. She gains access, allowing the rest of the team to get inside and yank out the safe.
Finch tells Shaw the only thing in the safe was put there by a Dr. Petrova from the CDC. She is an expert on infectious diseases. Tomas open the box and they see ten vials. The other two men in the game begin shooting and Shaw has to help Tomas escape to the safe house.
What was inside is something called the Marburg Virus, a disease similar to Ebola but even more deadly. Petrova had been working on it in Africa but when she was denied permission to bring it to the CDC she smuggled it to the U.S. illegally.
Tomas tells Shaw he never got a name from of the person who hired him for the job. But he now wants payback and to help get the vials back.
Member of the governor's public relations install cameras at Wilkin's plant, telling them it's to film promotional footage.
Reese finds the bodies of the two member of Tomas' gang who betrayed him.
Fusco questions Katya. She says they were supposed to kill Tomas after getting the disease.
Finch has yet to find Tomas' client, but he tracks the source of the money to a storage unit at the most secure facility in the city. He sends Shaw and Tomas to the location, where they see Marko, who is very much alive. Tomas guesses Marko likely blames him for abandoning him.
They hear Marko say he's received half his payment, and will get the rest when he delivers the package. He'll be leaving in six hours.
Shaw spots an agent named Brice she trained while still at ISA.
We hear Brice and his partner talk about their mission. They are supposed to destroy the virus and "eliminate all targets."
Shaw convinces Finch they should protect Tomas, since he's trying to make things right.
We see Wilkins' team finish the first batch of tablets. Root pretends to be one of his employees, goes inside and disconnects the cameras. Simultaneously Finch, posing as a janitor, starts to work on the system. Almost immediately Samaritan works to get the cameras back up and online. But Finch has enough time to finish his work.
Brice and his partner are given new orders. They're told to "secure" the virus rather than destroy it.
Shaw and Tomas enter the building just as Brice and his partner get there. They find the viruses just as Marko and his men show up. Their plan is to inject the virus into Shaw and Tomas to create live hosts. At this point Brice and his partner arrive. They're distracted by Reese and Fusco, which allows Shaw and Tomas to take out Marko's team. Ultimately Brice allows Shaw to escape.
Wilkins arrives at this building to learn that all of his work has been destroyed. Off to the side Finch laments to Root that he had to destroy all of Wilkins' work, which was likely not nefarious.
As the episode ends we see Samaritan working to analyze video of Brice and Shaw's last interaction. It is attempting to clean up the grainy footage of Shaw's face.
