In the third season finale, it turns out Jess and Nick had booked a cabin on a cruise ship from when they were dating, and find the cabin is non-refundable, and about the only thing they could do is downgrade cabins and convince the others to join them on it, which crams them in a smaller cabin with roll-away beds. The trip gets further complicated when Jess and Nick are pretty much forced into participating in all the activities that was part of their package as it was the "romantic getaway" package and they could not change that either. To further the drama, Schmidt and Cece have to awkwardly be together though they are no longer dating, and Coach is deathly afraid of water and won't leave the cabin. The icing on this crappy cake was when regrouping in the cabin, the door somehow gets stuck, trapping them in the cabin for the duration with no way to even call for help as Coach yanked the phone out of the wall. When cruise workers manage to get their door open at the end of the trip, they find them in there delusional, eating soap and the cumulative body odor was almost overwhelming.
This episode was so stupid, I was ready to quit the show right there, but it was a preview stating things would be different that brought me back initially for the fourth season, but it was just same s**t, different week, and about halfway through, I pulled the plug on the show. Sorry Zooey, but as much as I love you, your show is stupid and I could never bring myself to watch it again.
