Victor Gabriel’s “Hallelujah,” Seemab Gul’s “Mulaqat/Sandstorm” and Joseph Pierce’s “Scale” have won the top awards at the 2022 HollyShorts Film Festival, which presented its prizes on Saturday afternoon in Hollywood — thus qualifying for this year’s Academy Awards.
“Hallelujah” won the Grand Prix for the festival’s best short, “Mulaqat/Sandstorm” took the honors as the best live-action short and “Scale” won for animation. HollyShorts is an Oscar-qualifying festival for the short-film categories, and the winners of those three awards are automatically entered in the Oscar race.
The award to “Hallelujah” was presented via video by this year’s Oscar winners for Best Live Action Short, “The Long Goodbye” filmmakers Riz Ahmed and Aniel Karia. The Oscar winners for the 2018 live-action short “Skin,” Jamie Ray Newman and Guy Nattiv, presented the awards to “Mulaqat/Sandstorm” and best-director winner Carlos Segundo (“Sideral”), respectively.

The cast of Saved By The Bell have made a lot of Christmas films. And we've just watched them all...
Some people collect stamps. I wish I collected stamps, that would be infinitely easier than my hobby, which is collecting Saved By The Bell cast members in Christmas movies. Think of it as Panini stickers on ultra hard mode.
Sadly, my collection depends on the whims and careers of the various Bayside alumni. I'm not doing too badly; so far I have five of the six main cast members, and a few supporting characters. But the hunt for the missing actors takes up far too much of my time, time that could be spent watching Homes Under The Hammer and crying.
Here are the actors I have in my strange, fictional sticker album so far...

Hallmark gifts a glowing star of holiday cheer to movie fans with Northpole, one of the network’s 12 New Movies of Christmas, part of its larger, annual Countdown To Christmas. The film boasts visual effects which are the best Hallmark has ever produced and is cuddle-worthy family viewing. The wondrous village of Northpole, where Santa and his elves live and work, is running low on the holiday cheer that is used to fuel the city and make toys. Santa and Mrs. Claus (played by real-life spouses Richard Wagner and Jill St. John) are understandably concerned; this drop in spirit, represented … Continue reading →

Val and Dylan forever!"Beverly Hills, 90210" alums Tiffani Thiessen and Luke Perry reunited on the red carpet at Hallmark Channel's premiere screening of "Northpole" on Tuesday in Los Angeles. The 48-year-old actor came out to support the former "Saved By the Bell" beauty, who is starring in the TV movie. Perry starred as bad boy Dylan McKay on the hit series from 1990 to 2000. Thiessen joined the cast as Valerie Malone in 1994. Thiessen definitely shook things up on "90210," so it's surprising that she wasn't part of Perry's love triangle when he was forced to choose between costars Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, and Shannon Doherty during a round of "Marry, Shag, Kill." "I'd marry Tori because I told her dad I'd look out for her," Perry said on "Watch What Happens Live," referencing late "90210" creator, Aaron Spelling. "I'd kill Shannon, because she'd want me to. And that's the only reason," he added.

What would Kelly Taylor say!? Former Beverly Hills, 90210 costars Tiffani Thiessen and Luke Perry reunited as they attended Hallmark Channel's premiere screening of Northpole at La Piazza restaurant in L.A. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
