PlayStation has massively grown its PC portfolio after committing to the platform in 2019, and while it did stumble along the way, like with the recent Helldivers 2 Psn debacle, the company has seen a great deal of success from its double-dip launches.
Back in 2022, PlayStation Studios boss Hermen Hulst confirmed that they will release live-service games day and date on PC, which is sensible, and big singleplayer titles will be spaced out to at least two years between their PS5 and PC launches. However, a recent rumor suggests this may have changed.

Credible leaker billbil-kun has reported that the wait for a God of War Ragnarok PC port might be much shorter than anticipated. They hint at an imminent announcement for the port, potentially sometime this May.

Showtime has taken to social media this afternoon to announce that “Yellowjackets” Season 3 is officially in production, and they’ve also shared behind the scenes photos from the set.
One of the photos reveals that the “Yellowjackets” Season 3 premiere was written by Jonathan Lisco & Ashley Lyle & Bart Nickerson, with Nickerson seated in the director’s chair.
Lyle & Nickerson created the hit series, while Lisco is the showrunner.
You can check out the social media announcement below.
It’s likely we’ll have to wait until 2025 for Season 3, but we had learned last June that a special bonus episode will come along before the new season premieres. So stay tuned for that.
“Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated...

Ps Plus has always been a treat for PlayStation fans. This subscription service lets you gain access to online multiplayer, monthly games, exclusive discounts, and lots more without actually buying the whole game. Every month, it’s an exciting aspect for the fans to see which games are being added to the service.
However, as the grass is greener on the other side, many titles have to leave the subscription service as well. And this month seems to be witnessing the most significant departures from popular titles. A fan has pointed out an exit, which was recently added, along with requests from other fans to be added to Ps Plus.

Now, season two is set to raise the bar yet again. So, let’s dive in and take a look at what is coming next from the hit video game adaptation’s sophomore run.
Same Showrunners with New Writers/Directors
The success of the first season of The Last of Us meant the return of showrunner Craig Mazin, best known for HBO’s acclaimed Chernobyl as well as writing the less-than-acclaimed The Hangover Part II and Part III as well as Scary Movie 3 and 4. Are we headed for a bon marché?
A new class of finished films and packages (unmade movies with big stars and a director attached) will travel to Cannes this week in search of cash and homes with the studios, streamers and global indie players.
The 2024 Cannes market comes equipped with some interesting contradictions. Stateside, the content buying machine is fraught. Major media stock prices are getting hammered day by day, and a new age of austerity has gripped the once free-spending tech giants. At the same time, distributors paralyzed by the 2023 Hollywood labor strikes need content to fill their slates for the end the year and the top of 2025.
“We’d agree that finished film volume isn’t as high due to the strikes, but Cannes is a much better setting for packages to begin with,” one top sales agent told Variety. “These movies can get financed out of the international marketplace,...

The MTV Movie & TV Awards are on pause for 2024, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Sources told THR that the show will return next year with a “reimagined” format.
The show last aired in May 2023 amid the Writers Guild of America strike. Host Drew Barrymore dropped out in a show of solidarity with the writers.
The show aired but with numerous pretaped segments and acceptance speeches, clips from upcoming movies and TV shows and previous editions of the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Additionally the show, awards categories and nominees and winners were announced via a voiceover, which initially referred to the event as the “2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards special.”
When Barrymore dropped out, it was announced that she’d agreed to host the 2024 awards. It’s unclear if she’s still attached to host the 2025 installment.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards is taking another break. Variety has confirmed that the event, which would have normally taken place around this time of year, will instead sit 2024 out — with an eye toward returning next year, perhaps in a different, “reimagined” format.
It’s been a bumpy decade for the MTV Movie & TV Awards, which first began in 1992 (as the MTV Movie Awards). Last’s year’s event was forced to pivot to a pre-taped clip show in light of the Hollywood writers’ strike, as host Drew Barrymore bowed out and the WGA announced plans to picket the ceremony.
Meanwhile, in 2020, the MTV Movie & TV Awards also didn’t take place, due in part to the Covid-19 pandemic, but also because the network had planned to move the franchise (long a spring/early summer staple) to December. Ultimately, instead of an awards show, MTV ran a “MTV Movie & TV...

Once upon a time, the post-apocalypse genre was almost exclusive to movies, with the occasional exception, such as the 1994 mini-series The Stand. Fortunately, the advent of streaming services and bigger budgets changed the paradigm.
Nowadays, radioactive landscapes, bombed-out buildings, hordes of shambling, reanimated dead bodies in various states of decomposition, and desperate, struggling survivors are commonplace on smaller screens.
Ostensibly, post-apocalypse shows are about survival in a devastated world. Dig a little deeper, however, and there's almost always a tale of morality or lack thereof. Movies struggle with this, often opting for CG effects to dazzle and attract, neglecting the human aspect.
That's what makes TV the perfect conduit for a tale of post-apocalyptic survivalism. While not all of them get it right, like 2020's The Stand, a long, drawn-out affair has the luxury of time and world-building on its side.

The console wars of this generation has seemingly rested on the winning side of Sony thus far. With Aaa exclusives like Spider-Man, The Last of Us, and even Square Enix’s 2023 venture, Final Fantasy 16. But if this month has taught us anything, it’s that the gaming industry is now turning more volatile than ever. With studio closures and even many games seeing the door, gamers aren’t even cautiously optimistic anymore.
Final Fantasy 16
Which might be the case now for Sony’s fanboys as well. When a big name like Square Enix says they’re going multi-platform, it’s bound to raise eyebrows. What may be PlayStation’s loss could just be Xbox’s, nay, the gaming community’s win.
Square Enix just parachuted out of Sony’s tower
Labelled a new strategy, Square Enix is looking to shift from quantity to quality, as is obvious from their recent Consolidated Financial Results.

It has been a while since The Last of Us: Part 2 came out, and players are surprised how a glitch in the game has still not been patched yet, causing them to die in the middle of a cut scene. As many on social media platforms pointed out, during a particular moment in the game, the character model somehow bugs out, causing Ellie to phase through the floor and fall into the void.
A still from The Last of Part 2
It has also been pointed out how the glitch seems to happen only in the permadeath mode, making players start their journey all over again as the custom mode allows the players only a single chance to finish the game if they have chosen the hardest difficulty, resetting their progress all over again if they die.

A study from Comcast shows how viewers are finding new television content in the age of peak choice.
Times have changed since the days when TVs had actual channel dials. If you wanted something to watch, you flipped on your set and switched between the five or six channels your rabbit-ears antenna picked up, then settled on a title or turned it off. Now, viewers have thousands of programming choices between TV channels and on-demand streaming services, and a new survey from Comcast has details regarding just how difficult those choices have become.
Key Details: Comcast found that more than 60% of American audiences search for six minutes or more for a new show or movie. Seeing a promotional ad for a program increases its tune-in rate by 228%. Over 50% of Americans say they’ve watched a show or movie after finding it on their smart TV home screen.

Throughout its eight seasons, Game of Thrones left no stone unturned to traumatize its fans by killing off characters whenever they got the chance. Both books and the television series have had fans bawling over the loss of their favorite characters, including Pedro Pascal’s Oberyn Martell.
Pedro Pascal as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones season 4
Pedro Pascal is one of those few actors who shine bright in whatever role they take. However, it was his time on Game of Thrones that truly showed his potential to the world and gave him a boost in his career. It didn’t take long for Oberyn Martell to become a fan-favorite character. This is why, when the show brutally killed him off, fans were devastated. Creator David Benioff once talked about why they decided to incorporate Oberyn’s death into the series.

The 2024 BAFTA TV Awards very much celebrated the best of British TV tonight as the majority of big-name stars and more recognizable shows fell away to British shows and stars. The likes of “Succession” and “The Last of Us” went home empty-handed at the Royal Festival Hall. “Top Boy,” “The Sixth Commandment,” and “Such Brave Girls” claimed the three big prizes at the ceremony hosted by comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett.
“Top Boy,” Netflix’s hit show about two London drug dealers dealing with gang violence in East London, won Best Drama Series over “The Gold,” “Happy Valley,” and Emmy hopeful “Slow Horses.” Producers Charles Steel and Alasdair Flind came backstage to discuss their victory, which came for the fifth and final season of the fan favorite.

Awards season may well be over for another year in the world of film, with the Oscars, BAFTAs, and Golden Globes just a distant memory now. But on Sunday evening, one of the biggest nights in British TV, the BAFTA TV Awards — this year hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Ramesh Ranganathan — took place at London’s Royal Festival Hall. And on a night where the two most nominated shows, Black Mirror and The Crown, failed to snag a single win, Happy Valley, Top Boy, and The Sixth Commandment enjoyed great success in key categories, each taking home two awards apiece.
On the night, Sarah Lancashire won Leading Actress for her all-timer of a turn as police sergeant Catherine Cawood in Happy Valley, her second BAFTA for the same role. The show also snagged the public-voted Memorable Moment award for Catherine and Tommy Lee Royce’s (James Norton) remarkable final kitchen showdown.

Cameras have been rolling on The Last of Us season 2 for a while now, and we finally have some semi-decent set photos. These offer fans a first look at Bella Ramsey's Ellie with her girlfriend, Dina (played by Madame Web and Superman star Isabela Merced).

Updated with complete winners list: Despite being up for four acting category awards, The Crown‘s final season left the BAFTA TV Awards empty handed tonight in London.
Elizabeth Debicki, Lesley Manville, Salim Daw and Dominic West were all snubbed, as the the likes of Matthew Macfadyen, Jasmine Jobson, Timothy Spall and Sarah Lancashire all triumphed and the Netflix show went out quietly.
There was also a major surprise in the International category, where little-known French drama Class Act beat the likes of Beef, The Bear and The Last of Us to win the prize. Among the most shocked was the show’s star Laurent Lafitte, who urged the audience to find and watch his show — to the amusement of the audience.

Happy Valley‘s Sarah Lancashire today took home the BAFTA TV Award for Leading Actress for the second time.
She beat the likes of Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us), Sharon Horgan (Best Interests) and Helena Bonham Carter (Nolly) to bag the final award of the evening.
The award is Lancashire’s third BAFTA TV Award, coming after a Best Actress win for Happy Valley in 2017 and Best Supporting Actress in 2014 for Last Tango in Halifax. She has been nominated for Best Actress on two other occasions.
In Happy Valley, Lancashire plays divorced police officer Catherine Cawood, who plays a long-running game of cat-and-mouse with criminal Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton). The third and final season launched in the UK early last year, seven years after the first went out.
Kate Winslet won last year for her performance in Channel 4 single drama I Am Ruth.

It was a night of surprises at the BAFTA TV Awards, with “The Crown” and “Black Mirror” failing to pick up any awards while “Succession” walked away with only one for Matthew Macfadyen for best supporting actor.
Macfadyen did not attend the awards at London’s Royal Festival Hall, prompting Helena Bonham Carter, who presented the category, to walk off with the iconic gold BAFTA mask with the promise she would get it to Macfadyen.
The international category also saw upset, with frontrunners “Succession,” “Beef” and “The Bear” all failing to win the award. They were instead beaten by little-known French series “Class Act.” It was a fact acknowledged by the show’s shocked lead actor Laurent Lafitte, who, upon accepting the award, told the audience: “Please watch our show. It’s called ‘Class Act,’ it’s quite good — not just because I’m starring in it.”

In the opinion of most critics and fans, The Last of Us video game series is one of the best ever. And while it is a survival horror on the surface, the game is actually an exceptionally complex post-apocalyptic tale that sends a significant warning, as well as shows some great character development. HBO has adapted the video game into a live-action series starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie. The series was a major hit, winning numerous awards and earning praise from fans and critics alike. Since the first season did not adopt the whole video game narrative, a second series was – naturally – ordered, which will focus on the sequel video game.

When fans heard the news that Fantastic Four would be recreated once again to wash away the sour taste the 2015 movie left, fans were truly excited and hoping their heartiest wishes for those superheroes would finally be fulfilled. But when they heard that Pedro Pascal had been cast into the role of Reed Richards in the saga, a lot of them were unsure about this decision of the Studios.

While that was initially understandable for those who couldn’t envision the Hollywood heartthrob in the role, Pascal’s old images resurfacing are here to wash away all those doubts. In fact, one specific vintage picture of him from a few years ago is so similar to the character in the comics that it has Marvel fans convinced Pascal was born to play Mister Fantastic!

We’re currently in the era of movies and shows adapted from fan-favorite and long-standing video games, and so many fans are here for it. From last year’s big hit The Last of Us starring Pedro Pascal to the most recent Prime Video’s bombshell Fallout, the video game world is currently taking over the modern cinema with never-ending ideas for sequels and following seasons.
Last year was also marked by Five Nights at Freddy’s, another major release based on a popular game franchise, and the overall success was so grand that a sequel didn’t take too long to be announced.
While there’s still nothing to know for sure about the upcoming second film, the nascent franchise still needs to keep in mind some major aspects of the original game to stay afloat on the same level of thriving in the future.

“The Last of Us” star Bella Ramsey will take on the role of one of the U.K.’s most mysterious and infamous modern day figures in “Girl Next Door” from writer/director Bruce Goodison (“Leave to Remain”).
The film — which Celsius Entertainment has acquired world sales rights to and will launch in Cannes — is set to tell the story of Samantha Lewthwaite, who became known as ‘The White Widow’ and one of the world’s most wanted women.
As per the plot details, “Girl Next Door” centres on Lewthwaite (Ramsey), who fell in love with Islam long before being Muslim was politicised and militarised and became known as ‘The White Widow’. Hellblade 2, the long-awaited sequel and continuation of Senua’s saga and also one of Xbox’s biggest releases of the year, is now two weeks away from hitting the shelves. It’s a bet you didn’t know of this, which is somewhat justified too, given how badly Xbox has fumbled the bag that is its brand name in the past few days.

Filmmaker Stefon Bristol’s 2019 debut See You Yesterday (Netflix) demonstrated the filmmaker’s deft ability to blend tones and legibly render a complex time-travel story injected with social consciousness and the Black experience. Bristol and co-screenwriter Felicia Bailey deservedly took home the Film Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay in 2020. Now with his sophomore feature Breathe (distributed by Warner Brothers), the NY-based Spike Lee protege continues his ambitious project of telling Black-cenetered sci-fi stories on an indie film budget.
Beginning with a Black List-approved original screenplay by Doug Simon, Bristol was encouraged by producers to put his own stamp on the material, resulting in the change of setting from post-apocalyptic upstate New York to post-apocalyptic Flatbush. Bristol’s updated vision also attracted the film’s stellar cast, which includes Jennifer Hudson, Milla Jovovich, Qvenzhané Wallis, Sam Worthington, Common and more.

Huggy Wuggy has been called up by Hollywood.

Most nights, the Palisades Park CEO hosts a cocktail hour at the company’s temporary headquarters directly across from the Palais des Festivals, where Cannes’ biggest premieres are held.
“We are looking to dazzle people,” she says, noting that her office boasts a commanding view of the red carpet. “We want to entertain people in fancy places and impress them with our presentation.
