This is the third film that Steven Seagal and Byron Mann team up. The first two films are Belly of the Beast and A Dangerous Man.
The film is meant to be a sequel to A Good Man (2014), which was a sequel to Force of Execution (2013), in which Steven Seagal also plays the character John Alexander.
Steven Seagal got into huge trouble with Vinnie Jones on set. Seagal, forgetting his wallet at home, stole Jones' credit card and charged $10,000 worth of DoorDash. When the delivery man came to drop off the food and said it was for Mr. Jones, everyone knew what had happened. A furious Vinnie Jones confronted a red faced and clearly scared Steven Seagal to scream at him for what he did. He then made a bonfire out of all the food that he ordered while cast and crew made s'mores. Steven Seagal, with his face getting redder and tears pouring down his face, tried to take Vinnie Jones' s'more, but was beaten nearly to death and went unconscious. The writer, who almost had his feet eaten by him, tried to drag him to the fire to burn him. However, Vinnie Jones had the dignity to tell the writer no. He almost quit until the director negotiated to pay him 2 million dollars, which kept him on the job.
