Outlaw Brothers: The Making of The Long Riders (2013)
*** 1/2 (out of 4)
This sixty-three minute documentary takes a look at the making of THE LONG RIDERS and features interviews with director Walter Hill and stars Robert Carradine and James Keach. Fans of the film will certainly enjoy this documentary even though there aren't a lot of the cast and crew being interviewed. I think it was somewhat good that they didn't have a lot of people because we get more detailed answers from the three that are here including Hill who talks about his love of the genre, getting involved with the picture and his thoughts on various bits of the production. There are some great stories here including how the Bridges brothers were originally going to be in the film and they also talk about their attempts to get John Carradine in the film with his sons. If you're a fan of the movie then there's no doubt that you'll enjoy what this has to say as all three men tell some great stories.
