The horror genre has had a particularly successful year both on console format and for the PC, we’ve seen big-name hits like Resident Evil 7 and the continuing innovation of the Outlast series, now onto it’s second installment. I personally enjoyed Little Nightmares, a dark whimsical narrative which stylishly attempts to play on our childhood fears. On the horizon, it looks like 2018 and 2019 will repeat the genre’s success in 2017, there’s an incredible amount of potentially jaw dropping and pant wetting horror games which promise innovative fun and shocking narrative.

If the DC Extended Universe got off to a bumpy start, then it looks like things are now truly getting going and in a big way.
On the horizon is Justice League, with Aquaman arriving shortly after that. But where do we go from there? Well, that’s still unclear, but it’s starting to sound like the next several years are going to be heavily dominated by Warner Bros.’ burgeoning cinematic universe.
Why’s that? Well because in 2020, we may very well see four Dceu films storming into theatres. Yes, you read that right – four. The Tracking Board is reporting that the studio has just slated two more releases for that calendar year, one on February 14th and the other on June 5th. We already know that Cyborg is set to debut in April of 2020 while Green Lantern Corps is expected to arrive at some point in July. That...

Avast looking just on the surface or the horizon, landlubbers!
Look deep beneath the surface, into the complicated characters and complex plot, as you watch Black Sails online or on TV. That's where you'll find the real buried treasure.
Black Sails Season 4 Episode 2 is characteristically compelling, while still packing action punches.
On the surface, the passionate pirates battle the fuddy-duddy British Crown for control of Nassau.
Five key pirate honchos — Captains Flint, Teach (aka Blackbeard), Jack Rackham and Flint's proteges Long John Silver and Billy Bones — battle to be the rogue king of Nassau and restore it to an unholy, hedonistic den of debauchery. And who wouldn't want that?
On the horizon, pirates could soon liberate thousands of slaves.
And European heavyweights Spain and England could soon throw down on the high seas.
Spain is still missing that bling pirates heisted from its vessel, the Urca de Lima. Spain has warned Goodes Rogers,...

“Adam Ruins Everything” is quickly becoming one of TV’s most intriguing hybrids. Part Ted Talk, part sketch comedy catchall, with a dash of existential meditation on human interaction on top, the truTV show currently in its second batch of episodes is quietly carving out its own niche in the basic cable landscape.
It’s the logical evolutionary step for a generation raised on “Bill Nye the Science Guy,” only in this iteration, the host has swapped out the lab coat for a bespoke suit and matching pocket square. Star and creator Adam Conover began the show as a CollegeHumor web series back in 2014, tackling public assumptions of dog breeding and engagement rings and tipping at restaurants, before bringing the format to a half-hour TV format last fall.
