- [Daryl and Beth find the stash of food in the empty funeral home]
- Daryl Dixon: Peanut butter and jelly, diet soda, and pig's feet. That's a white trash brunch right there.
- Beth Greene: [Beth smiles] It all looks good to me.
- [Beth writes a thank you note for the people who left the food at the funeral home]
- Beth Greene: I'm gonna leave a thank-you note.
- Daryl Dixon: Why?
- Beth Greene: For when they come back. If they come back. Even if they're not coming back, I still want to say thanks.
- Daryl Dixon: Maybe you don't have to leave that. Maybe we stick around here for a while. They come back, we'll just make it work. They may be nuts, but maybe it'll be all right.
- Beth Greene: [Beth smiles] So you do think there are still good people around. What changed your mind?
- Daryl Dixon: You know.
- Beth Greene: What?
- Daryl Dixon: [Daryl mumbles] I don't know.
- Beth Greene: Don't...
- Beth Greene: [Beth imitates Daryl's mumbles] What changed your mind?
- Beth Greene: [when Daryl looks quietly into Beth's eyes] Oh.
- [in a flashback, Daryl asks Bob the three questions]
- Daryl Dixon: How many walkers have you killed?
- Bob Stookey: Haven't kept count. A couple dozen.
- Daryl Dixon: How many people you kill?
- Bob Stookey: Only one.
- Daryl Dixon: Why?
- Bob Stookey: She asked me to.
- [Bob survives a bite from a Walker because of his shoulder bandage that protected him]
- Bob Stookey: It's okay. He got me right on the bandage.
- Bob Stookey: [as Sasha smiles to hug Bob] Ow. Ow! Ow! Ow!
- Bob Stookey: [as Sasha lets go] I didn't say stop. I just said ow.
- [when Sasha and Bob laugh at each other]
- [Daryl teaches Beth how to follow tracks in the ground]
- Beth Greene: [as Beth wields Daryl's crossbow] What are we tracking?
- Daryl Dixon: You tell me. You're the one who wanted to learn.
- Beth Greene: Well, something came through here. The pattern is all zig-zaggy. It's a Walker.
- Daryl Dixon: Maybe it's a drunk.
- Beth Greene: [Beth smiles] I'm getting good at this. Pretty soon I won't need you at all.
- Daryl Dixon: Yeah, keep on tracking.
- [Daryl offers Beth a piggyback after she hurts her ankle]
- Daryl Dixon: [Daryl puts his back up to Beth] Hop on.
- Beth Greene: Are you serious?
- Daryl Dixon: Yeah. This is a serious piggyback. Jump up.
- Daryl Dixon: [Beth hops on Daryl's back as he strains to hold her] You're heavier than you look.
- [Beth sees Daryl lay inside one of the open coffins]
- Beth Greene: What are you doing?
- Daryl Dixon: This is the comfiest bed I've had in years.
- [first lines]
- Glenn Rhee: [in a flashback, Glenn and Daryl find Bob on the road] You got point?
- Daryl Dixon: Yeah, I got it.
- Bob Stookey: Hi. Hello.
- Daryl Dixon: Just you out here?
- Bob Stookey: Yeah.
- Daryl Dixon: How long's it been like that for?
- Bob Stookey: [Bob chuckles] I don't know. I was with one group and another one after that.
- Daryl Dixon: They didn't make it? Neither one of them?
- Glenn Rhee: What's your name?
- Bob Stookey: Bob Stookey.
- [Joe encourages Daryl to lower his Crossbow]
- Joe: Come on, fella, suicide is stupid. Why hurt yourself when you can hurt other people?
- [Joe smiles as Daryl lowers his Crossbow]
- [Daryl and Beth examine the stash of food in the funeral home]
- Daryl Dixon: Ain't a speck of dust on this.
- Beth Greene: So?
- Daryl Dixon: That means somebody just put it here. This is someone's stash. Maybe they're still alive. All right, we'll take some of it and we'll leave the rest, all right?
- Beth Greene: I knew it.
- Daryl Dixon: Knew what?
- Beth Greene: [Beth smiles] It's like I said. There are still good people.
- [Beth sees Daryl eat out of the jelly jar with his face]
- Daryl Dixon: Mm.
- Beth Greene: [Beth makes a disgusted face] Gross.
- Daryl Dixon: Hey, those pig's feet are mine.
- [Beth sings while playing the piano at the funeral home]
- Beth Greene: Pine for summer / Then we'll buy / A beer to shotgun / We'll lay on our lawn / And we'll be good...
- [Beth continues to sing while playing the piano]
- Daryl Dixon: Why don't you go ahead and play some more? Keep singing.
- Beth Greene: I thought my singing annoyed you.
- Daryl Dixon: There ain't no jukebox, so...
- Beth Greene: [as Beth continues to sing and play the piano] And we'll buy... / A beer to shotgun / We'll lay on the lawn / And we'll be good / Now I'm laughing at my boredom / And my string of failed attempts...
- [when Daryl closes his eyes in the coffin]
- [Daryl carries Beth to the breakfast table in the funeral home]
- Beth Greene: Going as fast as I can.
- Daryl Dixon: [Daryl's voice strains] Forget that.
- [as Beth laughs]
- [Daryl and Beth find a graveyard outside of a funeral home]
- Beth Greene: Maybe there are people there.
- Daryl Dixon: Yeah, if there are, I'll handle them.
- Beth Greene: There are still good people, Daryl.
- Daryl Dixon: I don't think the good ones survive.
- [Daryl and Beth find the corpses at the funeral home perfectly dressed]
- Daryl Dixon: Looks like somebody ran out of dolls to dress up.
- Beth Greene: It's beautiful. Whoever did this cared. They wanted these people to get a funeral. They remembered these things were people before all this. They didn't let it change them in the end. Don't you think that's beautiful?
- [Daryl holds his Crossbow aimed at Joe]
- Joe: [Joe smiles] A bowman. I respect that. See, a man with a rifle, he could have been some kind of photographer or soccer coach back in the day. But a bowman's a bowman through and through. What you got there, 150-pound draw weight? I'll be donkey-licked if that don't fire at least 300 feet per second. I've been looking for a weapon like that. Of course, I'd want one with a bit more ammo and minus the oblongata stains.
- [last lines]
- Maggie Greene: [Maggie and Sasha catch up to Bob on the train tracks, calling out] Bob.
- [as Bob turns around and smiles, the three continue to walk together to Terminus]
- [Maggie tells Sasha that she needs her help in finding Glenn]
- Maggie Greene: I heard what you said back at the camp. I heard you say you thought we should be in a town.
- Sasha Williams: What else did you hear me say?
- Maggie Greene: That odds are Glenn is dead. And we should stop. But you're wrong.
- Sasha Williams: So why are you here?
- Maggie Greene: 'Cause I was waiting for you. I'm not giving up. But I need your help. 'Cause I can't do it by myself. And even if I catch up to Bob, we can't do it alone. I thought that I couldn't ask you to risk your life. But I can. 'Cause I know what you'd be risking it for. And it isn't just Glenn. I get that you're afraid.
- Sasha Williams: [Sasha tears up] I am. I am afraid.
- Maggie Greene: [Maggie smiles] We could get there.
- Sasha Williams: I know. So let's go get Bob... and let's get there.
- [in a flashback, Daryl and Glenn invite Bob back to the prison with them]
- Daryl Dixon: Want to come with us?
- Bob Stookey: Yes.
- Daryl Dixon: You got any questions for us?
- Bob Stookey: No. It doesn't matter who you are.
- Glenn Rhee: Really?
- Bob Stookey: [Bob smiles] Yeah. It doesn't matter.
- [Maggie, Bob and Sasha find the Terminus signs on the train tracks]
- Bob Stookey: It says sanctuary. That's just another reason to try.
- Maggie Greene: Others from the prison could be there. Tyreese.
- Sasha Williams: If it sounds too good to be true... maybe if Glenn saw one of these, maybe he felt the same way.
- Maggie Greene: He wouldn't. He'd believe, I know.
- [Bob asks Sasha if she thinks their group should stop moving]
- Bob Stookey: So tell me...
- Sasha Williams: Tell you what?
- Bob Stookey: You think we should stop.
- Sasha Williams: Yeah.
- Bob Stookey: Tell me why.
- Sasha Williams: To not die.
- [Bob tells Sasha that she should try smiling more often]
- Sasha Williams: You have been grinning since we left the prison in one piece. If you're so happy to be alive, then why are we walking into the heart of darkness?
- Bob Stookey: It's not about me being alive.
- Sasha Williams: [Sasha scoffs] Do you even know why you're smiling?
- Bob Stookey: Oh, yeah. I'm not alone. That's how it happened when I lost my first group. And my second group. I broke that streak. You'd be smiling, too. Self-awareness is a beautiful thing. You should try it sometime.
- Bob Stookey: [Sasha remains silent] Oh, you're not going to take the bait?
- Sasha Williams: Nope.
- [Bob and Sasha camp for the night in the middle of the woods]
- Bob Stookey: There's a lot of noise at night. Cicadas, owls. I think sometimes they go in circles. Still, when I was out here by myself, I didn't sleep much.
- Sasha Williams: You're not sleeping much now. You've got to heal. You need to sleep.
- Bob Stookey: [Bob lays down] I can try.
- Bob Stookey: [as Bob hears snarling in the distance and sits back up] I tried.
- [Sasha and Bob sit together in the middle of the night]
- Sasha Williams: Bob, what the hell are we doing out here?
- Bob Stookey: Why do you think Tyreese is dead?
- Sasha Williams: What?
- Bob Stookey: If Tyreese were alive, he'd go for Terminus. I know you know that. So why do you think he's dead? Or are you just too afraid to find out if he is or not? Hmm. Up until now, I thought you were the toughest person I ever met. Which is kind of weird, 'cause you were the sweetest, too.
- Bob Stookey: [Bob smiles while looking away from Sasha's stare] Just saying.
- [Bob tries to encourage Sasha to go after Maggie]
- Bob Stookey: She's out there alone.
- Sasha Williams: She didn't want us to come. She made her choice for her.
- Bob Stookey: I don't care. She's alone. When I got to the prison, I thought to myself, 'How long? The clock's ticking. How long until everyone else is dead and I'm on my own?' Bad things happened 'cause I was scared. They didn't need to. I didn't need to be afraid. Now we get to Terminus and Tyreese isn't there, it doesn't mean he's dead. You don't need to be afraid.
- Sasha Williams: I am not afraid.
- Bob Stookey: [as Bob pauses] So this is it?
- Sasha Williams: It doesn't have to be.
- Bob Stookey: [Bob smiles] That's right.
- [Bob kisses Sasha on the lips while they're stopped on the train tracks]
- Bob Stookey: [Bob smiles] I'm gonna try something here.
- Bob Stookey: [Bob kisses Sasha on the lips, smiling] Well, okay.
- Sasha Williams: You don't have to do it. You don't have to be alone again.
- Bob Stookey: [Bob smiles] I won't be.
- [as Bob continues to follow the train tacks to find Maggie]
- [Joe's man Len holds his Bowgun aimed directly at Daryl]
- Len: [Len smiles] I'm claiming the vest. I like them wings.
