Dolph Lundgren started his acting career with a James Bond movie (A View to a Kill) in 1985, quickly followed by Rocky IV, and then a string of action films. With a career spanning five decades, the man has had over 100 parts with only seven of those in television series, making him one busy film actor. Picking his five best is like choosing your favorite child. So, here are five of his best movies which are part of an ever-changing list of favorites.
The Punisher (1989)
An interesting take on The Punisher where Lundgren plays Frank Castle full of darkness, torment, and violence, but with a softer side that takes its time to show up. The final battle in Lady Tanaka’s home is a great watch each time the film comes on or is put on. We have had 4 Frank Castl’es on screen, and he brought one of the darkest,...

There's a reason why Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, as well as a number of his films, have stood the test of time. His attention to even the most minute detail and filming shots over and over played an important part in the method to his madness. The fine folks over at Scream Factory, in conjunction with IFC Midnight, have announced the release of the documentary 78/52: Hitchcock's Shower Scene on Blu-ray and DVD. But, that's not all we can look forward to this February. The two companies will also release Welcome to the Willits on Blu-ray and DVD as well.
From Scream Factory: "We are pleased to announce that we have a new IFC Midnight film planned for release on Blu-ray & DVD this February! (And it is a Must-have for every fan of the film Psycho!)

Jack (Lundgren) is a former CIA contractor who now oversees a team of elite thieves. One night in a small Mexican town, they flawlessly execute an intricate heist. On the way to a lucrative payout the Mexican authorities suddenly apprehend them. When the authorities bring them in, Jack finds himself face-to-face with Agent Price (Bernsen), his former CIA handler. Agent Price informs Jack that he s being sent to La Muerte, a high-tech, impenetrable fortress. La Muerte operates as a black site for high profile detainees from Mexico’s war against the Cartels. No one knows where it is…or that it even exists, and those who enter do not leave the facility alive.

Conspiracy theories and hard drugs blend into one deadly night of carnage in the new horror film Welcome to Willits, and before it's released in theaters and on VOD this Friday from IFC Midnight, we've been provided with a set of stills featuring some familiar faces.
"Aliens, burnouts and clueless campers collide in this bloody and bonkers slasher freak-out. Deep in the woods of Northern California lies the off-the-grid town of Willits, a haven for marijuana growers, meth addicts, and conspiracy theorists. When a gaggle of vacationing teens unknowingly set up their campsite on the property of Willits’ most disturbed resident—a psychotic, drug-addled pot farmer convinced extraterrestrials are out to get him—they’re in for one hell of a bad time. The feature debut from director Trevor Ryan is a no-holds-barred pileup of carnage, twisted comedy, and pure crazy."

A trailer has been released for an interesting looking sci-fi horror film called Welcome To Willits. Willits is a little off-the-grid town in the woods of Northern California that is a "haven for marijuana growers, meth addicts, and conspiracy theorists". The story centers around a group of teens who get mixed up with a crazy pot farmer and then the aliens show up to wreck havoc! It looks like good stupid fun.
The movie was directed by Trevor Ryan and it stars Bill Sage, Rory Culkin, Anastasia Baranova, Garrett Clayton, and Dolph Lundgren. Here's the synopsis:

So Welcome To Willits is a sci-fi/horror film that apparently stars Dolph Lundgren (at least according to this poster), but who barely appears in the trailer. Otherwise, it seems to be a creature feature about aliens attacking teens...but then it's also about some hillbilly killer using hallucinogens? And that the aliens might be in his head? I don't know, here's the official synopsis: Deep in the Northern California... Read More...

"I ain't sure what they want, but they ain't nice." IFC Midnight has unveiled an official trailer for a sci-fi horror film titled Welcome to Willits, which played at various genre film festivals all last year. Set in the woods of Northern California in an off-the-grid town called Willits, a "haven for marijuana growers, meth addicts, and conspiracy theorists", the story is about a group of teens who get mixed up with a local pot farmer. And then the aliens show up and all hell breaks loose. This is described as a "no-holds-barred pileup of carnage, twisted comedy, and pure crazy." Let's hope all of that is true. Starring Bill Sage, Rory Culkin, Anastasia Baranova, Garrett Clayton, and surprisingly enough, Dolph Lundgren. I don't think I've seen a film that mixes drugs and aliens in this way, can't say it's going to be a good combination. Watch out. Here's the...

Deep in the woods of Willits, Northern California lives a pot grower by the name of Brock (Bill Sage) and his wife Peggy (Sabina Gadecki). They are being visited by the young Courtney (Anastasia Baranova) for a while and not only that, but they are being visited quite often by those evil little grey bastards from space. Either that or Brock is growing some pretty potent shit. Things become complicated when a group of young campers decide to pitch up in the dense forest. No matter what is going on… There’s going to be carnage.
Well, that’s what the trailers and other reviews would lead you to believe.

Alien horror thriller short Welcome To Willits: After Sundown is screening at this year’s SXSW festival in the Midnight Short competition. But it already has a bright future as director Trevor Ryan is planning a feature-length adaptation and has Teresa Palmer signed up for one of the lead roles. He probably didn’t have too much trouble securing her services, as she’s married to the short’s star, Mark Webber, who will return for the film. Welcome To Willits (it may lose the After Sundown bit for the adaptation), was written by Ryan’s brother Tim and finds Webber as Brock, a man waiting in an isolated Northern California cabin for his friend to complete a drug deal. He becomes increasingly more desperate and paranoid that aliens are heading his way to attack and abduct him again. Is he just a lunatic? Well, he is in a cabin in the woods.
