Neon Noir, the creative team behind the stalker thriller Blind, its still-unreleased sequel Pretty Boy, the slasher That’s a Wrap, and the upcoming horror film Garden of Eden, is back at it. Deadline reports that they have just wrapped production on Brute 1976, a horror project described as an homage to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. The original, ’70s versions of those films happen to be two of my all-time favorites, so this movie already has my attention.
Directed by Marcel Walz from a screenplay by Joe Knetter, Brute 1976 begins with Raquel and her girlfriend, whose car breaks down in the middle of nowhere as they travel to a photoshoot in the desert to celebrate Bicentennial unity . They stumble across an abandoned mine and explore it, while the photoshoot group replace her with make-up artist Sunshine and then find abandoned town Savage, which has a violent history...

Marcel Walz is channeling the spirit of 1970s classics with his next horror movie Brute 1976, and Deadline brings us details and a first look this morning.
From Neon Noir, the upcoming Brute 1976 is said to be a love letter to The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes, with Joe Knetter (Twilight of the Dead) writing.
Deadline details, “Brute 1976 will begin with the story of Raquel and her girlfriend, whose car breaks down in the middle of nowhere as they travel to a photoshoot in the desert to celebrate Bicentennial unity. They stumble across an abandoned mine and explore it, while the photoshoot group replace her with make-up artist Sunshine and then find abandoned town Savage, which has a violent history but is the perfect place to take some photos.
“However, a family of masked psychopaths has claimed the town for themselves and are hell bent on it living up to its name.

Ever since Heidi Klum birthed her iconic Halloween party back in 2000, the supermodel has become the queen of spooky season. The location and date may have changed over the past two-plus decades, but there's one thing we can always count on: Klum's epic, over-the-top, spot-on Halloween costumes. If there were actual awards for best celebrity Halloween costumes, she'd regularly take home the prize.
Since going as a zombie doll for her Halloween party debut, Klum has experimented with everything from a Garden of Eden apple (to accommodate her baby bump in 2006) to an incredibly realistic re-creation of Jessica Rabbit. She's even gotten her partners and kids involved in clever couples' Halloween costumes and family-friendly Halloween costumes.
While Klum has worn over 20 extravagant costumes since the early aughts, she still manages to surprise us with a creative Halloween costume every year. But aside from her originality, her commitment to the craft is equally as impressive,...

Exclusive: The second feature from Neon Noir, the production house Marcel Walz, Sarah French and Joe Knetter launched last year, will be dark horror drama Garden of Eden.
Billed by Knetter as “super dark and disturbing,” the film will follow the wealthy Eden family, who are devout Christians that have been very successful in business and are rich beyond their needs. Robert Rusler (Vamp), Monique T. Parent, Sarah French (Blind), Sarah Polednak, Gigi Gustin (The Last Deal), Sarah Nicklin (The Retaliators) and Dazelle Yvette are starring.
Walz is directing and Knetter is writing. Manuel Suess is the executive producer. Walz, French and Knetter produce, with Marcus Friedlander returning to the team as cinematographer. It’s currently in pre-production,...
