Two-time Palme d’Or winner Ruben Östlund’s highly anticipated next feature The Entertainment System Is Down might just have Keanu Reeves on board.
Given his unassailable pedigree as a filmmaker, the next film by Ruben Östlund was already highly anticipated, not least because he’s following up the acclaimed Triangle Of Sadness with another ambitious English-language project. It’s the central idea for the film that has garnered so much buzz up until this point: according to Variety, Östlund has ‘teased it several times as a social satire set on a long-haul flight on which the entertainment system isn’t working, sparking chaos and rages among passengers. The Swedish director has been collecting anecdotes for the last few years for the movie and recently finalised the script.’

After a dramatic exit from The Daily Show late last year, at least one piece of Roy Wood Jr.’s next act is coming into focus.
Deadline reports the comedian and former Tds correspondent has joined the cast of Jonah Hill’s new movie “Outcome.” The Apple Studios dark comedy, directed and co-written by Hill, will star Keanu Reeves, Cameron Diaz, Matt Bomer, and Hill himself.
It was last October that Wood announced he was leaving The Daily Show, where he had served as a correspondent since 2015. The move came as Tds continued its long process of finding a new permanent host to replace Trevor Noah, who left in 2022.
Explaining his departure in a recent interview with fellow Daily Show alum Samantha Bee, Wood stated that he’d lost faith that there were any paths to success left for a show that didn’t have a plan amid an industry that’s in crisis.

Jonah Hill will be directing Outcome for Apple, that’s going to star Cameron Diaz and Keanu Reeves. More here.
After a long hiatus from acting, Cameron Diaz has begun dipping her toe back into the world of moviemaking. After starring in 2014’s Annie, Diaz retired to focus on other things before eventually being tempted back almost a decade later to star alongside Jamie Foxx in the yet-to-release (and appropriately-titled) action flick, Back in Action.
That one is due out at sometime this year on Netflix, and while we’re looking forward to seeing her appear on our TVs, Diaz’s next project may well restore the actor to where she truly belongs: the silver screen. Jonah Hill has signed Cameron Diaz up to star alongside Keanu Reeves in Outcome, a dark comedy for Apple Studios.

Cementing her return after taking a long break from acting, Cameron Diaz has secured a follow-up to incoming Jamie Foxx pic Back In Action. She'll star opposite Keanu Reeves in Outcome, which will be the latest directing gig for Jonah Hill.
Co-written by Hill and Ezra Woods, Outcome follows Reef (Reeves), a tarnished Hollywood star who must plumb the dark depths of his past to deal with his demons and make amends after he is extorted via a mysterious video clip.
Since it's described as a "dark comedy", we don't think this will turn out to be a The Ring situation, so we doubt there'll be any straggly haired girls climbing out of wells. But you also have to wonder who would have the guts to extort a man who has killed so many people in the course of several John Wick movies.
From the looks of the cast list,...

Keanu Reeves is steering into a new direction with upcoming Hulu series “Brawn: The Impossible Formula One Story.”
A U.K. Original series, “Brawn” will debut on Disney+ globally outside of the U.S. and on Hulu stateside. The four-part docuseries sees “John Wick” star Reeves dive deeper into the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship that saw an underdog team win big.
In 2009, competing in the most expensive and technologically advanced racing series on Earth, the impossible happened. An understaffed, under-financed, and independent team won the World Championship — with a team that cost just one euro.
“Brawn” features interviews with those involved in the championship, including exclusive F1 archival footage that has been previously unseen. British F1 drivers Jenson Button and Ross Brawn, who both led the team to victory, appear in the series alongside Reeves.

An ex-girlfriend of Jonah Hill has accused the actor of being a “misogynist narcissist” who was “emotionally abusive” during their relationship.

Keanu Reeves and Sofia Coppola are returning to their respective career roots.
Twenty years after Coppola directed her breakout 2003 film “Lost in Translation” in Tokyo, the filmmaker returns to Japan with a short film for the Suntory Whisky Anniversary Tribute. Suntory Whiskey has become cinematically synonymous with “Lost in Translation” for Bill Murray’s quip, “For relaxing times, make it Suntory Time,” as his character is a fading-out actor sent to Tokyo to hawk the brand.
Actor Reeves, who previously starred in a 1990s Suntory ad, leads the commercial, a montage that celebrates 100 years of the iconic liquor brand The House of Suntory.
The ad shows Reeves walking through nightlife in Japan before ducking into a nondescript bar and ordering a glass of Suntory on the rocks as a vinyl record plays. The ad is set to Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ cover of “Crimson and Clover.”

After challenging the High Table in John Wick: Chapter 4, Keanu Reeves will take a left at Albuquerque to join Jonah Hill for a dark comedy film. Apple Original Films acquired the rights to Outcome, a sinister comedy Hill will direct and co-write with Ezra Woods. Reeves is in negotiations to star alongside Hill in the new project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter‘s exclusive, Hill’s Outcome stars Reeves as Reef, “a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.”
In addition to directing, starring, and co-writing Outcome, Hill will also produce the film with Matt Dines, his partner at Strong Baby. This will be Hill’s second narrative feature after “Mid90s,” which he made for A24 and Scott Rudin.
Last year, Netflix released Hill’s documentary feature “Stutz,” about the life and work of Dr. Phil Stutz, Hill’s therapist. Hill’s last two on-screen performances were also for Netflix – he appeared in Kenya Barris’ somewhat controversial “You People” earlier this year and in 2021 co-starred in...

Jonah Hill is staying in business with Apple. His next directorial project, “Outcome,” which was first announced back in November, has landed at the streamer. As previously revealed, Keanu Reeves will star in the film, co-written by Hill and Ezra Woods, but new plot details have emerged with the release of Wednesday’s news.
“Outcome” will star Reeves as Reef, a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.
Apple Original Films landed “Outcome” in a competitive situation, according to the streamer. The film will be produced by Matt Dines and Hill under their Strong Baby banner.

Jonah Hill, in the process of building a thriving filmmaking career, and Keanu Reeves, riding high thanks to the ultra-popular John Wick: Chapter 4, are teaming up for a dark Hollywood story.
Apple Original Films has picked up Outcome, a dark comedy that Hill will direct and has co-written with Ezra Woods.
Reeves is in negotiations to topline the feature, which will also star Hill.
Outcome will star Reeves as Reef, a damaged Hollywood star who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.
Hill, clearly no underachiever, will also produce Outcome with Matt Dines, his partner at their Strong Baby banner, along with the company’s Ali Goodwin. The project will be an Apple Studios production.
The deal finds a home for Outcome, which hit the town as a hot package back in November.

Keanu Reeves did his best Oliver Twist impression to convince Warner Bros. to greenlight a “Constantine” sequel.
The actor revealed (complete with an Oliver Twist accent) that he asked, “Can I please have some more?” to Warner Bros. every year since “Constantine” was released in 2005.
“I don’t know if it was unfinished business but it was definitely a role that I loved, and I thought that Francis Lawrence, the director, did such amazing work. I loved playing that character, and I really enjoyed the film,” Reeves told Total Film (via MovieWeb). “I was like, [adopts Oliver Twist voice,] ‘Can I please have some more?’ … I kept asking almost every year. I’d be like, ‘Can I please?’ [and] they’d be like, ‘No, no!'”
As for the sequel, which was confirmed in September 2022, Reeves said, “It’s exciting. It’s almost like an open playground that we can hopefully cook something up and play in,...
