According to Billboard, Beyonce‘s new “Cowboy Carter” album “is poised to set a new mark for the best first-week performance of 2024” thanks to multiple physical versions and strong streaming performance. So it’s no surprise that Gold Derby users are predicting the album to top the chart in its debut week with more than 300,000 equivalent album units based on its combined record sales, individual track sales and online streams. But what about in week two? Users have predicted that as well, and they say Beyonce will stay on top for the tracking period of April 5 through April 11. But one surprise release that wasn’t in our predictions center could dethrone her.

Microsoft has announced the latest batch of games coming to Xbox Game Pass at the tail end of March and the start of April.
The biggest games joining Microsoft’s subscription service are The Quarry, which is coming tomorrow on March 20, and Diablo 4 on March 28. The remaster of popular dinosaur survival—Ark Survival Ascended—is joining the fray on April 1.
Diablo 4 is the first Blizzard title to be heading to Game Pass after Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October 2023. The Arpg behemoth recovered some lost grounds after its rocky release last year. The next season of Diablo 4, the Season of the Construct, is scheduled for release on April 16. So, Game Pass subscribers can hopefully get their hands on a product that had most of its rough edges polished at this point.

††† (Crosses) — the duo of Chino Moreno (Deftones) and producer/multi-instrumentalist Shaun Lopez — recruited Run the Jewels rapper El-p for the track “Big Youth” on their 2023 album, Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete. Now they’ve teamed up for the song’s music video.
The clip arrives a day after Crosses launched their North American tour. Moreno and Lopez are set to play Denver on Friday (February 9th), with the outing running through March 11th in Seattle. You can get tickets via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
The Rizz-edited video for “Big Youth” is an all-business performance clip that should give fans a glimpse into the duo’s stage show. Strobes and campy video effects overlay Lopez, who’s hunched over his gear as he provides the backbeat and synths, while Moreno paces back and forth while he physically wears the angst in his voice.

Global streaming giant Netflix has made a significant ongoing commitment to production of original content from Southeast Asia and in the Chinese language.
For 2024, Netflix has unveiled a slate of four Chinese-language series, all hailing from Taiwan. From Thailand, it detailed seven series and one film. From Indonesia, it has committed to five films and a series co-written and directed by the consistently successful Joko Anwar, marking his first partnership with the streamer.
Additionally, Netflix has confirmed the appointment of Maya Huang as its head of Chinese-language content.
The moves stand in sharp contrast to the mid-January happenings at rival global streamer Prime Video, which is cutting staff in the region and ending its brief experiment with Southeast Asian originals.
In Indonesia, Netflix says it is broadening its storytelling with a range of genres including comedy, action, fantasy, and sci-fi thrillers.

Deftones‘ latest studio album, Ohms, dropped in 2020, but it appears the guys are well into the writing phase for their next LP. Speaking on the Gnostic Academy podcast, guitarist Stephen Carpenter said the band is working with producer Nick Raskulinecz on a new album, and they’re eyeing a 2024 release.
“Just in the last couple of months, really — two or three months; well, maybe a little longer now, really; February is when we started … to work on new material for a new record,” Carpenter told Gnostic Academy (as transcribed by Blabbermouth.net). “It’s going good now. It was a little slow at first, but it always is; dragging our feet ain’t nothing new. But we’ve got stuff up and going now, and we’re on a good little momentum at the moment. And we hope to have it all done and out by next spring [or] summer. There...

While the Netflix Top 10 film chart for the week of June 26 remained fairly consistent from the previous week, “The Witcher” Season 3 burst into the English TV chart in first place. Read on for this week’s analysis.
“The Witcher” has been one of the streamer’s most popular series, so when Season 3 – the final one with Henry Cavill – was released last week, it was no surprise it did quite well with 15.2 million views (about 73 million viewing hours divided by the 4.82 runtime for the season). It was the #1 watched show in over 75 countries, including the United States, Canada, and all of Europe and Africa, making the Top 10 in 91 countries total.

The new Netflix Thai drama Delete is packed with twists and turns worthy of a good thriller. The first season has been received very well, but considering its ending, a lot of people will be wondering what’s next. Delete is a series that follows a couple who have been unfaithful to their partners and want to start a new life together. One day, a girl asks the woman to take a picture of her with a unique phone-looking device. Once she takes the photo, the girl disappears, leaving the woman stunned. It turns out that the phone can “delete” people, and this gives the couple an idea. A whirlwind of situations follow as the couple navigate their lives after using the phone and change completely. It’s an interesting series for sure, but a lot of questions were left unanswered at the end of season 1, including a new storyline all together.

It’s a commonly known fact that art reflects culture and society, and movies are no less than art. But I firmly believe that horror movies are a representation of the world and the society they are produced by. Over the years, we’ve seen how the genre adapts with time and brings out new fears that are more relevant to the new generation. Delete may not be a traditional “horror” TV drama, but the way it’s shot, the narrative, and, of course, the broader concept of the whole thing are quite horrifying. So, I think it makes for a good example of what I’m trying to say here.
In our review, we mentioned how Delete bore a resemblance to the early 2000s Japanese technophobia era that ushered in a new wave of horror cinema, including classics like Pulse and Ringu that took the entire world by storm.

From blockbuster Shutter director Parkpoom Wongpoom (Oh) comes a new Thai drama on Netflix titled Delete. The show follows a young man and woman, Aim and Lilly, who are having an affair. Both of their partners will know the truth soon enough. But when Aim and Lilly get their hands on a camera device that removes a person from existence with just one click, they decide to use it to lead a happy life together. A seemingly simple idea creates a dramatic series of events that change Aim and Lilly’s lives for good. I think Delete had the potential to be fantastic, but there are a few things that drag it down. For an 8-part series, mostly everything gets left unanswered by the end of the season, and even if a new chapter is opening up for a potential second season, I think some closure was required to wrap...
