We Got This Covered can exclusively report today that Golden Globe-nominated actor Tom Sizemore (Pearl Harbor, Black Hawk Down) has joined the cast of The Martyr Maker, an upcoming political thriller from Kamal Ahmed.
Not much is known about the project just yet, but Sizemore will co-star alongside Adeel Ahmed (who’s had guest spots on CBS’ Elementary and NBC’s Deception), who plays Zahid, “an American born Muslim who, after struggling with his Islamic roots, explores different aspects of the religion, leading to a deadly calling.”
Sizemore, meanwhile, will play the head of the CIA, though it’s unclear how the two characters will cross paths at this point. Still, it’s an intriguing premise and we’re eager to see how the film develops.

“Take the skin and peel it back; now doesn’t it make...” Oh wait, there are actors in here. WB Games released a new trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, and aside from snippets of new in-game footage, it peels back the game’s skin to introduce us to two of those actors.
Meet the story’s two lead characters, Talion and Celebrimbor. But really it’s like being introduced to two old friends, the first of which is Alastair Duncan, who plays Celebrimbor. He previously was Councilor Sparatus in Mass Effect 3 and lent additional voices to Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Beside him is video game heavyweight Troy Baker, who plays the game’s lead, Talion. Baker’s credits include The Joker in Batman: Arkham Origins, starring in InFamous: Second Son as Delsin Rowe, and the lead role in the game of the year winner, The Last of Us.

It’s sad that many gamers find it surprising when an established franchise takes a quality step into the world of video games, especially since many of these series are full of interactive potential. Luckily, J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings series has had many successful releases, including both movie tie-ins and original works that delve deeper into the rich mythology that millions of fans love.
Since Monolith Productions took over work on the intellectual property’s video game license, fans have been anticipating their in-development project, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, which looks to bring a grittier perspective to the archetypal fantasy landscape. As if the talent behind this entry’s plot wasn’t enough to raise some eyebrows (the story is being written by Christian Cantamessa, the mind behind Red Dead Redemption‘s epic tale), Monolith and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (Wbie) have now revealed the main players...

Warner Bros. Interactive have released an all new trailer for Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, but instead of focusing on the gameplay, this trailer is all about setting the tone, and establishing the story that gamers will be playing through. Honestly, it's the most interesting this game has looked so far. On top of that, they've also revealed the voice cast you'll be hearing. Come inside to check it out and learn more!
Call me crazy, but for me, the most exciting things about video games are the stories. That's why I gravitate towards more story-focused games and never got into the Fps/multi-player genres. Story is what drives me to keep playing through, and as such, today's newest trailer has me more interested in Shadow of Mordor than before:
Lots of story going on here, and some interesting concepts that haven't really been explored in the Lord of the Rings license.

TNT has greenlit 10 episodes for a series based on The Librarians franchise, slated to air in late 2014. The TV movies told the story of a group of extra special librarians who live beneath the Metropolitan Public Library in New York and safeguard mystical relics from forces of evil by slapping them with outrageous overdue fees. The plot is a messy stew of Indiana Jones, National Treasure, and Hell Boy …but the product is less than the sum of its parts.

I hate to get excited about pilots, but I admit it, I’m excited about this one, if it’s anything like the original. We posted that original pilot of Babylon Fields back in October when it was first reported that NBC was resurrecting it from its previously dead state.
It’s always encouraging to hear that casting has begun, and especially nice when it’s a familiar face from one of Our Kind of Shows. TVLine is reporting that Skeet Ulrich of gone-too-soon Jericho has been cast in the dual role of Father Harries and his addict twin brother who has returned from the dead.
Because yes, this series is one of several returned-from-the-dead-yet-not-zombies series in development or recently or about to be aired, like the French series The Returned, which A&E is remaking maybe with Carlton Cuse, and ABC’s Resurrection, which premieres March 9.
