Pink Floyd boasts a discography that evokes dynamic emotions and moods, all conveyed within the expansive, experimental mold of progressive rock that feels timeless. Countless franchises, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have used tracks from the band's impressive work in their films. For instance, "Interstellar Overdrive" was featured in "Doctor Strange" to convey the nature of Stephen Strange's life before it turned upside-down, while "Time" was used in "Eternals" to set the tone of its worldbuilding. Since both seasons of "Loki" also feature retro-tinted soundscapes that harken to branched timelines and similar cosmic events, it is not a stretch to assume that the show's music was inspired by Pink Floyd.
There is good reason for this assumption, as the show's "Tva Theme," which plays at the end of every episode, sounds remarkably similar to Pink Floyd's "Have A Cigar." There is a haunting effect in how the guitar and bass ramp up the mystery,...

In Jim Isaac's goofy-ass 2002 slasher "Jason X," the immortal killer Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) is trapped in a cryogenic freezing tube by a potential victim named Rowan (Lexa Doig). In the year 2455, Rowan and Jason are discovered by a cadre of space travelers and thawed on board their starship. Jason, of course, immediately restarts his murder spree, not really caring that centuries have passed or that he's in space.
Late in the film, the eternally rotting Jason is enhanced and reconstructed using high-tech medical nanites. He is transformed into a super-strong armored space monster that is named in the credits as Über-Jason. Über-Jason is now even more unstoppable than before, and his potential victims have to distract their pursuer by any means necessary. Using hologram technology, the human characters re-create Camp Crystal Lake, Jason's old slashing grounds, circa 1980. To complete the illusion, the hologram comes equipped with a pair of topless,...

The third season of "Star Trek: Discovery" threw the titular ship forward in time by nearly a millennium, landing the U.S.S. Discovery in a time that was very much different from the one they left. In the distant future, the galaxy was recovering from a massive unexplained cataclysm called The Burn, wherein every single starship using dilithium crystals (that is: pretty much all of them) exploded at the same time. The Federation was wounded and shrank to an almost nonexistent entity, and a mercurial, widespread crime ring called the Emerald Chain rose in its place. The Emerald Chain was made up of greedy, vicious capitalists who used violence and slavery to keep their economic chokehold on the quadrant.
One of the characters the Discovery met in this future dystopia was Ryn (Noah Averbach-Katz), an Andorian who reluctantly served as a slave overseer for the wicked Osyraa (Janet Kidder...

Many Love Is Blind contestants have gone on to live happily ever afters with their partners. But some on the series like Nick Thompson came out of the reality series being worse off.
Nick Thompson once claimed he was facing homelessness Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl | Cr. Adam Rose / Netflix
Thompson introduced himself to Love Is Blind fans in the second season of the show. He operated as VP of Product Marketing at the time. At first, it seemed that he and the reality show were a good match. He ended up falling for his fellow contestant Danielle Ruhl, and their story concluded with the two marrying each other.
But Thompson alleged that his time on Love Is Blind was far from pleasant. In an interview with Daily Mail, he claimed that the cast was expected to shoot 20 hours a day without adequate nutrition. He also didn’t appreciate the...

Boba Fett is, inarguably, one of the most beloved characters in "Star Wars" history. That's no small thing, given that the franchise also includes half a dozen (or more) pop culture icons. Perplexingly, the fan-favorite bounty hunter had very little screen time in the original trilogy and didn't have a solo project until "The Book of Boba Fett" arrived in 2022. For years, it was one of the finest examples of "less is more" ever committed to film. The man under the helmet was Jeremy Bulloch, and the actor will forever be tied to that role. And, as it just so happens, Bulloch kind of just lucked his way into the role.
Bulloch did a Reddit Ama back in 2014. At one point, a fan asked the actor how the role of Boba Fett was pitched to him. Indeed, the actor appeared as Fett in "The Empire Strikes Back," but it's not...

It's a wonder that horror filmmakers don't scare themselves senseless all the time. Whenever I see creepy set pieces like the freaky clowns from "Hell House LLC" or monster designs like the one brought to life by Bonnie Aarons in "The Nun," I imagine I'd be running for the hills after spending too much time on set -- like Bill Hader sprinting away from Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise on the set of "It: Chapter 2." It's no wonder, then, that the life-sized animatronic puppets and costumes used on the set of the new "Five Nights at Freddy's" movie gave some of the cast and crew the willies.
In a Reddit Ama ahead of the film's release this week, director Emma Tammi said she was unnerved the first time she came face to face with the titular killer bear. After Reddit user AnimeLonk asked if any part of the production scared her,...

Emma Tammi's "Five Nights at Freddy's," an adaptation of the popular video game series that began in 2014, has already raked in a great deal of box office lucre, making over $132 million on a modest $20 million budget in its first weekend of release. This, despite also being released on Peacock on the same day. It seems that the game's reputation preceded it, and the film was attended by many, many "Freddy's" fans eager to see the wicked animatronic Freddy Fazzbear commit acts of violence.
The film follows a beleaguered night watchman (Josh Hutcherson) who is hired to guard a kid's pizza palace, abandoned since the 1980s. There is still electricity in the building, however, and the animatronic band still operates ... and walks around the restaurant of their own volition. It will later be revealed that the animatronics are involved in a strange, dark conspiracy involving missing children, decades-old kidnapping cold cases,...

Jerry Seinfeld famously made a show about nothing with his hit NBC sitcom "Seinfeld," and now the stand-up comedian is teasing "something" that will follow up on the show's finale, which aired on May 14, 1998. The end of the series was met with plenty of debate after the hour-long episode packed with guest appearances concluded with Jerry (Seinfeld), Kramer (Michael Richards), Elaine, (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), and George (Jason Alexander) ending up in a prison cell in the final scene after being forced to confront a lot of the terrible decisions they made over the show's seven seasons.
In recent years, some fans have come to appreciate that the show ended in such a fashion. As for Seinfeld, though he once said he was "happy" with the show's finale in a Reddit Ama back in 2014, he changed his tune slightly during an interview at the New Yorker Festival in 2017, where he said (via...

Nicolas Cage has long been celebrated for his unconventional approach to acting, often diving headfirst into roles that others might consider too offbeat or complex. Known for his dedication to method acting, Cage takes his craft to fascinating and perplexing extremes.
Yet, his recent role in Renfield takes the cake for blending fiction and reality in a jaw-dropping way. While portraying the iconic villain Dracula, Cage had an experience that could’ve been ripped straight from the pages of a vampire novel: he accidentally drank his own blood.

Fresh off the first Emmy nomination for “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category, host Seth Meyers sat down with TheWrap for our inaugural video Ama to answer fan-submitted questions about everything from “SNL” memories to his favorite soup. Midterm elections are in full swing, and twice-impeached former President Donald Trump has been vocal in them, endorsing candidates and his 2020 election lies about voter fraud. Many have dubbed it Trump’s “revenge tour” as he gears up to announce another run for president in 2024. Seth Meyers, for one, roasted the life out of that terminology.
During his “A Closer Look” segment on Thursday night, Meyers began by mocking Trump’s particular interest in Arizona as “a revenge state.”
“I’m sorry, Arizona is a revenge state for him? What’s he gonna do, make us live there? ‘Oh sure, it’s sunny and beautiful, but just try to order a pizza after 9 p.m. Speaking of sun, make sure to find a dermatologist you really like because you’re gonna see her more than you see your own family.'”
