Back to Future and a utopia into a show

Hello Tomorrow! Is slowly coming to a reckoning for Jack and his deceitful operations at Brightside. An awkward father-son scenario keeps the plot interesting, but the show needs to introduce more risk and intrigue to hold onto viewers. Myrtle is an interesting character who could be used to bring justice to Jack Billings. However, her twisted idea of vengeance will likely hurt innocent people more than Billings. In Hello Tomorrow! Season 1 Episode 4, Lester freezes Brightside's operations due to their lack of compliance in filling out appropriate forms. Jack and Shirl give their employees a day off, but they don't tell them that selling anything in Vistaville could result in arrest. Myrtle tries to get one of them to make a sale, but Shirley is too busy with Joey to fill Jack's secret shoes. Joey has a date with a girl he's been crushing on, but his father demands to meet his parents before they can go out again. Jack offers to step into the role of his father, and Eddie enlists Herb to watch a jetball game to pay off his debts. Fred waits in the bar to see if Eddie's team wins, and Eddie is able to pay Fred and show Shirl his plans for their future: living in a B-Plex on the moon. Herb and Betty reconcile. Joey and Jack pretend to have a perfect relationship, but the father doesn't believe them until Joey tells him his mother is in a coma and Jack confesses he's been an absent father. Joey convinces his date's father to buy something from Brightside, but Myrtle catches him in the act. When Shirl confronts Jack about his preoccupation with Joey, she learns the true nature of his relationship to the employee. Jack finally confesses to Shirl that Joey is his son, but he doesn't know it. He decides to tell Joey the truth tonight. Jack refuses to give up the facade they put on for Joey's date, despite Joey's request.
