Another series "Night Coppers" which is set in Brighton (Sussex Police) is so much better and more interesting. It's more relaxed and not rehearsed like this series, the cops here recite what they've been taught and what their bosses want to hear..
This was boring to watch, I got through episode 3 and called it quits. They focused the series on young constables, but it came across too scripted and coached. There wasn't any spontaneity, just plastic participants.
We've all heard that their job is tough and that they've been physically assaulted and that morale is low, which we understand. That seems to be the mantra we've heard from the Met commissioner down to provincial constables. The world has changed since "Gideon of Scotland Yard" days and it's not going back. Constabularies have to come up with new solutions to new problems.
