In the past two decades, actor Paul Wesley has come pretty far. He started in some minor roles before finding fame as Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries, and all of a sudden, fans couldn’t get enough. The actor is known for his ability to make any character come to life, and it is always a treat when we get to see him in action.
Fans were stunned, however, when Wesley sat down for an interview and went into depth about how he feels about the characters he has played and what he hopes to do in other projects. As it turns out, Wesley’s dream role will most likely never reach the screen.
What roles has Paul Wesley taken on?
Getting his start in 1999, Paul Wesley has several acting credits to his name. His first role was in the daytime soap Another World. Since then, he hasn’t looked back.

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled (10-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector's Set) Blu-ray After some legal issues the Blu-ray box set for Phase 1 of Marvel's Avengers franchise is available featuring Blu-ray versions (and 3-D versions where applicable) of The Avengers, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, Iron Man, Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk for $149.49. Now I don't know about you, but a bunch of plastic stuff and promotional paper is hardly worth spending $25 per title, especially when you know there are more around the corner and sooner or later that briefcase you purchased will be merely collecting dust in the corner. Yet, it's your money, do with it what you will. By the way, did you hear The Avengers 2 will apparently begin filming in the UK at Pinewood-Shepperton studios early next year?

The History Channel has released a new 30-second promo spot for their latest “historical fiction” original scripted TV show “Vikings”, starring Gabriel Byrne and Travis Fimmel (last seen blowing shit up in “The Baytown Outlaws”), not to mention Fox regular Jessalyn Gilsig (“Prison Break”). So what’s it all about? The show will chart the ambitions of young Viking, Ragnar Lothbrok, played by Australian actor Travis Fimmel, who longs to discover civilisations across the ocean. With the help of his jester friend Floki, played by Gustaf Skarsgard (The Way Back), they build a new generation of boats; that are faster, sleeker and more beautifully crafted than anything else on the sea. Here’s the new promo spot, titled, “Legend”. The Vikings conquer all March 3rd on the History Channel...

End of Watch arrives on Blu-ray and DVD January 22, and I will be reviewing the Blu-ray this weekend. Directed by David Ayer, the film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Anna Kendrick, America Ferrera, Frank Grillo, Michael Peña, and Natalie Martinez.
This week I had the chance to interview the lovely Natalie Martinez (The Baytown Outlaws, Death Race, Broken City), who plays the role of Gabby in the film. Martinez has worked as a model and has starred in numerous TV shows, and films.
Here is the interview:
Natalie, you got your start doing modelling. What was it like making the jump to television and then into films?
It was just moving from one job to another. I was very fortunate. I was able to go directly from one opportunity to the next, there was no down time for me.
Do you have a certain type of project you look for when deciding to take on a role?...

Title: The Baytown Outlaws Director: Barry Battles Starring: Clayne Crawford, Travis Fimmel, Thomas Brodie Sangster, Daniel Cudmore, Billy Bob Thornton, Eva Longoria, Andre Braugher, Paul Wesley, Zoe Bell, Michael Rapaport, Serinda Swan, Agnes Bruckner A deeply but pleasantly weird sort of Southern Gothic battle royale, “The Baytown Outlaws” is a boisterous, sweat-soaked mash-up of “The Boondock Saints,” “Smokin’ Aces,” “Wild Things” and “Sucker Punch” (minus the latter’s material excess). While stipulating that it is at its core fairly slight — and also constructed of prefabricated parts and characters who, despite their colorful nature, are basically kind of hoary clichés — it’s also hard to deny that director Barry Battles’ zonked-out genre [ Read More ]

Even after falsely billing Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria as the stars of this action-packed B-movie extravaganza (as if that would pull in the crowds), the producers and director/co-screenwriter Barry Battles have no need to apologize. This ode to Tarantino, Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, and Jerry Lewis marathons is deliriously silly, frenetically violent, and insanely entertaining, especially for those who prefer Mad Max over The Rules of the Game.
The actual leads are Clayne Crawford, Travis Fimmel, and Daniel Crawford, who respectively play three orphaned siblings who've grown up to be the gun-toting, bemuscled, sweaty hunks Brick, G.I., and the mute former wrestler Lincoln. These charismatic Southern rednecks work for a local sheriff (Andre Braugher) who employs them to slay on the sly his county's criminal elements.

It almost pains me to waste precious space on my hard drive or even space here on this website talking about the repugnant piece of redneck-sploitation shit-kicking garbage called The Baytown Outlaws. It pains me because I don’t have much to say about it other than it’s really really bad, but it also pains me because I’ve just spent the day going over all the ridiculously good movies from 2012 that have been nominated for Academy Awards that I’m kind of walking around in this numb state of confusion after having to sit through and wrap my head around this trash.
Granted, it never aspired to be more than an ultra-violent Southern Boondocks Saints or Tarantino-at-his-worst rip-off, but it aspired to be an action-comedy and didn’t even come close to being superficially competent enough to fulfill those basic genres. It tries to be funny, but it...

Well it definitely isn't a coincidence that Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty is finally expanding nationwide just one day after the Oscar nominations were announced, but will the long roll out help or hurt its box office chances? It may not have to compete with all the big holiday releases but it still has some serious competition from Marlon Wayans' A Haunted House and Ruben Fleischer's Gangster Squad (although early reviews do not seem all that positive for either). In select theatres we also have The Baytown Outlaws starring Billy Bob Thornton, British horror flick Storage 24 and Dustin Hoffman's directorial debut Quartet. The grindhouse-meets-Dukes of Hazzard vibe of the new action comedy The Baytown Outlaws is instantly recognizable, and fits as comfortably as a weathered boot. With that vibe come certain expectations. Three Alabama hit man/brothers will most certainly clean out a house of their targets with shockingly laid-back professionalism. The opening credits will undoubtedly be filled with pulpy comic-book panel still frames announcing the cast and proclaiming the film’s ironic pedigree, a design choice so commonplace as to actually have the opposite effect. There will be hot chicks, blood, dust and lots of twangy guitar rock....

Of the two or three dozen entities thanked in the credits for Barry Battles' redneck shoot-em-up The Baytown Outlaws, God ranks number eight. It's hard to decide which is odder: that the Almighty rates so low, or that he's acknowledged at all in a film so ostentatiously (if unmovingly) devoted to sleaze. Maybe someone in post-production realized how little chance this vial of synthetic testosterone had with the moviegoing public, and decided a Hail Mary was in order. Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria are top-billed here, but they're background characters, showing up only occasionally as

The Baytown Outlaws hits theaters in select cities this Friday (January 11, 2013, to be precise), and we've actually been given more than a few goodies to get people excited for the, as the poster's tagline declares, "Southern whip-ass extravaganza" starring Eva Longoria and Billy Bob Thornton. Phase 4 Films has provided us not only with a few pictures from the set, but dozens of storyboards from the action comedy. After her ex-husband Carlos shoots Celeste three times in the gut, it's time to play dirty. In the fight for her godson, Rob, she hires three outlawed and redneck brothers to bring him back to her. But nothing can be that simple in the South. What begins as a small rescue mission rises to a Southern battle royal. This odd team must shoot their way...

I've been intrigued by the prospects of Barry Battles' The Baytown Outlaws since the first trailer was released, due largely to the amount of it's absurdly crazy, out-of-control antics and the presence of Eva Long-leg-oria in daisy dukes, tank top, and cowboy boots. Okay, so I'm easily sold sometimes, but The Baytown Outlaws looks like a batshit crazy good time. Love it or hate it, it seems the grindhouse inspired aesthetic of sleaze and violence is here to stay. The latest straight to DVD title to take up this tradition of imitation exploitation is the brilliantly named director Barry Battles and his southern set action flick The Baytown Outlaws.
The plot concerns the Oodie Brothers; McQueen, Brick and Lincoln (Clayne Crawford,Travis Fimmel and Daniel Cudmore) who basically run roughshod over a small town with the help of the local Sheriff who adopted them as kids and make a living as bounty hunters/hitmen. After a violent and hilarious case of mistaken identity, the Oodies are hired by Celeste (Eva Longoria) to rescue her crippled god son from her crime lord ex-husband Carlos (Billy Bob Thornton). Carlos doesn’t take this lying down however, he sends a crew of violent biker chicks, road pirates and ruthless Red Indian’s after...

Hey guys, remember that southern whup-ass extravaganza The Baytown Outlaws? Not every film hits the mark. Hell, some films don’t even get the chance to take aim at the mark, either going straight to DVD or getting buried on some distributor’s shelf, only to finally sneak their way onto the shelves of video stores around the country (they still have those, right?) years later. Or dumped onto VOD without fanfare, as is the fashion nowadays. Just to be clear: I’m not saying these movies are great or destined for cult classic status, but in my very humble opinion, they are very watchable, and definitely deserve a second look if you skipped them the first time around for whatever reason. In no particular order… The Baytown Outlaws Director Barry Battles’ “The Baytown Outlaws”, about three Alabama redneck brothers who head off to Texas to save a handicap teen at the behest of Latina spitfire Eva Longoria, is about...

Fans of cult B-movies, especially action ones quite often like big action scenes, a group of bad-ass good buys pitting themselves against an evil insurmountable force that want to kill them. It’s a tried and trusted blueprint for a fun film, an escape from reality and of course a nice dose of violence. The Baytown Outlaws looks to fit into this the world of the B-movie with a unique cross between the Mad Max films and just a healthy dose of The Warriors.

The Baytown Outlaws
Directed by: Barry Battles
Starring: Billy Bob Thornton, Eva Longoria, Daniel Cudmore
Rating: R
Release Date: January 18, 2013 (VOD on December 4, 2012)
Trailer Score: 3/10
Thoughts by Tsr: Joe Carnahan’s Smokin’ Aces came to mind while watching this trailer. That’s a film I enjoy watching from time to time, so on paper that wouldn’t necessarily be the worst comparison to be made. Unfortunately, this doesn’t have quite as strong of a cast as that film, something that adds to the sense that The Baytown Outlaws is simply a cheaper, even scuzzier knockoff.
I like a couple of the supporting players (while there are a million rounds of ammunition fired, the most exciting part is when Andre Braugher pops up for one second), but I guess Eva Longoria and Billy Bob Thornton are the ones who are supposed to get me to check this out. Pity then...

Eva Longoria has still got it (not that we're surprised). The 37-year-old former Desperate Housewives star looks stunning on GQ Mexico's December cover, baring her assets in white-hot lingerie. The smoky-eyed star sported sexy, tousled hair for the shoot, posing seductively with her arm wrapped around her toned bod. While Longoria may be absent from the small screen for now, she's set to heat up the big screen in January 2013 with her upcoming action flick, The Baytown Outlaws, which also stars Paul Wesley and Billy Bob Thornton. In the film, Longoria plays a woman who relies on three brothers to help save her son from an abusive father.

Barry Battles’ “The Baytown Outlaws” used to be called “The Baytown Disco”, which was just such an odd name as to be catchy. The new title, on the other hand, is a bit generic, but I guess that’s what happens when you sell your film to a distributor and said distributor thinks he knows better than you how to sell said film to the general public. Oh well. In any case, the film still looks awfully fun, though if you take a look at the poster above, it’s interesting that the film’s three main stars (the brothers in the film) don’t even get a mention. I can understand Billy Bob Thornton, but Eva Longoria? Really? After her ex-husband Carlos shoots Celeste three times in the gut, it’s time to play dirty. In the fight for her godson, Rob, she hires three outlawed and redneck brothers...

With awards season fast approaching and studios filling theaters with high brow think pieces, moving period films and expertly acted ensemble dramas, it can be a pretty tough time of year for those fans who just like really stupid films about ridiculous dudes shooting stuff up for no good reason.
But don't worry, you guys, we've got the new trailer for "The Baytown Outlaws" right here to change all that.
You're welcome.
Here's the pitch: Eva Longoria plays a lady trying to rescue her physically disabled son from Billy Bob Thornton, who is scheming to horn in on the kid's trust fund. But even those two noted actors can't stem the tide of brutally silly nonsense that ensues when she hires three redneck bounty hunting brothers — named, as one might expect, Brick, Lincoln and McQueen Oodie — to get her son back.
Add in a posse of sexy and deadly female assassins,...

Phase 4 Films has released the first trailer for their new action comedy The Baytown Outlaws, which stars Billy Bob Thornton, Eva Longoria, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Clayne Crawford, Paul Wesley and Andre Braugher. Thornton must be hurtin' for cash to make a movie like this. I can see the potential in it, but it just doesn't look very good or interesting to me at all.

When was the last time Billy Bob Thornton popped up in a good movie? Years, maybe. That disturbing trend continues with the release of a new trailer for a Grindhouse, Smokin' Aces style action thriller called The Baytown Outlaws, previously titled The Baytown Disco. Having former Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria as the other major star isn't sweetening the deal any. That being said, there's a guaranteed audience out there for this film who will love all the gun friendly chaos. ...

A while back we saw the trailer for The Baytown Disco and now the film is back in the marketing machine with a new title to boot. The Baytown Outlaws, which is likely a bit more marketable title, features a ragtag group of Southern mercenaries (think an R-rated Dukes of Hazard) who are hired to retrieve the disabled gangster's son and in doing so become targets of an oddball lot of assassins and thugs. It's like Jackass meets Smokin' Aces. The pic stars Eva Longoria, Billy...

Barry Battles. The Baytown Outlaws (once known as The Baytown Disco) could and should be a ton of fun. On paper, it sounds like a Southern-fried Fargo, a double-barreled Grindhouse thriller set below the Mason-Dixon line. Even that first poster embraced its gritty, sleazy potential, turning a traditional Star Wars pose into a Smokey and the Bandit tribute. We were holding off fully embracing Baytown until we managed to see some footage, and now a full(ish) trailer setting up the not-so-complicated criminal plot that has been posted on Yahoo Movies. And the clip delivers on the giddy, guilty promise of the film.s explosive potential. Check it out right here: Nabbing Billy Bob Thornton for the role of chief redneck villain is fantastic. Adding Eva Longoria as the gratuitous hottie is effective (while not entirely groundbreaking). But the hook appears to be the idiotic brothers hired by Longoria.s...

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 opens Friday and Summit Entertainment sent two actors to St. Louis last week to help promote the film. Charlie Bewley plays the vampire Demetri and Daniel Cudore plays the vampire Felix. Both are members of the Volturi clan.
Charlie Bewley (Demetri) made his major motion picture debut as the Volturi Demetri in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, followed by The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part 1.
A former athlete with a penchant for travel and adventure, Bewley only took up acting five years ago, but already has a string of recent successes to his name: co-staring in the 2011 Sundance Grand Jury winner Like Crazy, and also playing a key lead alongside a stellar ensemble cast in Russian/Us collaboration Soldiers of Fortune.
