Random Media has acquired two new titles for release in Summer 2015: "Camilla Dickinson" and "The Jokesters." Directed by Cornelia Duryée Moore, "Camilla Dickinson" is an adaptation of Madeleine L'Engle's classic novel about the daughter of a wealthy family in 1948 Manhattan. Fifteen-year-old Camilla (Adelaide Clemens) lives a privileged life in New York City until her parents' marriage grows increasingly rocky. Camilla finds a way to take her mind off things when she meets Frank, her best friend's rebellious brother (Gregg Sulkin). Frank shows Camilla a world outside of her sheltered bubble, and she slowly begins to grow up. Supporting cast includes Cary Elwes, Samantha Mathis, Margaret Colin, Camryn Manheim and Robert Picardo. Random Media has also acquired Aj Wedding's "The Jokesters," which has been a hit on the horror festival circuit. When Ethan, leader of the internet sensation "The Prankmasters," announces he is...

Fouad Mikati, director of the cartoonish action flick Operation: Endgame is switching up genres for his second film, the psychological thriller Return to Sender. Having just Rosamund Pike and Nick Noltecast its lead roles last week, the film is already in production in New Orleans. Because a movie with only two people in it usually isn.t fun, the rest of the cast was filled out today, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and Camryn Manheim, Rumer Willis and Illeana Douglas are all set to join Rosamund Pike, Shiloh Fernandez and Nick Nolte for the film. Manheim is of course known for her man years on the series The Practice and Ghost Whisperer and her last feature role was in Cornelia Moore.s adaptation of the novel Camilla Dickinson. Willis is probably best known for starring with her father Bruce in 2005.s balls-out thriller Hostage, and you can catch her in...

Newberry and National Book Award- winning author Madeleine L’Engle (1918 – 2007) will always be remembered in the world of juvenile fiction. As the creator of A Wrinkle In Time and its various sequels, L’Engle established herself for decades as a unique and prolific favorite of younger readers. Based on one of her earlier and more semi-autobiographical novels, the new film Camilla Dickinson is a coming-of-age story that reflects the special quality that made L’Engle so appealing: a memorable heroine.
Camilla is a shy, intelligent, and quietly sensitive teen attending private school in New York, circa 1950. The film opens on her troubled face as she sits outside her home, waiting. The reason for her hesitation
soon becomes clear as she finally enters to find her mother alone with a male friend. After some awkward moments, Camilla’s father arrives to compound the uncomfortable situation. Thus begins...

Sony Pictures is currently working on the sequel to the Silent Hill movie, and while they've been filming, they just issued this press release revealing that two new cast members were coming aboard the project, and they provided an all new official picture from the film.
I'm going to be 100% honest when I say, my interest for this film is almost nil. I didn't care for the first film, and I'm not sold on them pulling off this sequel...in 3D no less. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but that still doesn't improve my attitude for this film. Either way, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Malcolm McDowell have both been confirmed for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. Here's the press release:

I've said it before and I'll says it again: I enjoyed Christophe Gans' Silent Hill film. It was a film dripping in spooky atmospherics and general strangeness. When the sequel was first announced many would probably have dismissed it as a cheap cash-in on a known title. It's not like the original was a box office hit. Alas, it has its fans.
Michael J. Bassett will write and direct Silent Hill: Revelation 3D and it's just been announced, peeps, that Carrie-Anne Moss and Malcolm McDowell have joined the cast. But wait, there's more! A new still has been unveiled, too.

Here’s some unexpected news, readers. Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell and Deborah Kara Unger will all be returning for ghoulish goings-on in Silent Hill: Revelation. That’s right, they’re back for the sequel! It’s in production right now and along with the press release there’s a new image to gawp at.

Last week we learned that the sequel to Silent Hill had begun filming and that Adelaide Clemens and Kit Harington were set to star in the film. What we hadn’t heard was wether or not this film would be connected to the original in any way. Now we know. A press release went out to day confirming the stars of the first film will reprise their roles in Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. That’s right, Radha Mitchell, Sean Bean and Deborah Kara Unger will all be coming back for the sequel. This may come as a surprise to some of you, as it does to me. The ending to the first film was a bit ambiguous, but now it’s obvious Mitchell survived her ordeal in the haunted town, which will now wreak havoc on Clemens and Harington.

Adelaide Clemens‘ first photo from Silent Hill: Revelation 3D (2011) has been released and Kit Harington and Michael J. Bassett have joined the film. The sequel to Silent Hill is being written and directed by Michael J. Bassett. I love what Michael J. Basset did with Solomon Kane and its a shame that film hasn’t been released in the United States yet. Silent Hill: Revelation 3D has begun filming already.
The story seems to be based more or less on the video game Silent Hill 3, but because the first Silent Hill film generally omitted some of the characters from the first game that would directly link to this movie, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D seems like a standalone story set in the odd, haunted town of Silent Hill, rather than a direct sequel.

With filming now under way in Canada for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the video game company that launched the franchise, Konami, has chimed in with its thoughts on the second film.
From the Press Release
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced that Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the sequel to the horror film Silent Hill based on Konami's popular game franchise, has begun production by Davis Films in Toronto, Ontario. Developed and published by Konami, the Silent Hill franchise pioneered the survival horror video game by giving players visceral fear, haunting monsters, twisted storylines, and blurred reality all set in the malevolent town of Silent Hill.
"For over a decade the Silent Hill franchise has been scaring players through psychological horror and the fear of the unknown," said Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "It's that proven blueprint for terror we know Samuel Hadida is capable of re-creating for the big screen.

Adelaide Clements and Kit Harrington will star in the sequel based on the popular video game of the same name. Shooting Silent Hill: Revelation 3D began yesterday in Toronto, helmed by Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane).
Rising star Adelaide Clemens — X-Men Origins : Wolverine, Vampire, Camilla Dickinson, next starring in Mad Max: Fury Road.
Kit Harington is absolutely one of the UK up and coming theatre actors, and his role of Jon Snow in Game of Thrones definitely launches him for a strong move into TV and film.
Davis Films producer Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody, that announced lensing of this sequel, most recently produced Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, and Wentworth Miller. Past teamwork includes Resident Evil: Apocalypse and “Silent Hill.”

Above is the first image of Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins : Wolverine and, should it actually shoot, Mad Max: Fury Road) in the sequel to Silent Hill. What sequel to Silent Hill, you ask? As was announced [1] late last year, this one is called Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, and it begins shooting today in Toronto. Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is directing; more info after the break. Here's the press release, which confirms the plot synopsis we ran last year, and announces that Kit Harington stars in the film alongside Adelaide Clemens. Christophe Gans’ video game adaptation of Silent Hill didn’t really do much business at the box office and sank without a trace. Which is a shame because it’s a well-staged, if slightly peculiar, horror film.
The original’s initial reaction hasn’t stopped producers from planning a sequel and moving full steam ahead with it.
