Shawn Hunter has a lot on his mind. In a new interview, Rider Strong of Boy Meets World fame got candid about the differences between the ABC series he starred on and the spinoff, Girl Meets World, that he recurred on. In an interview on Kevin Pollak's Chat Show with guest host Samm Levine of Freaks and Geeks fame, Strong discussed his TV past and present, including the major differences between Boy and Girl. "For some reason on Tgif we would just do these videos that were like full on dramas and nobody seemed to notice," Strong said referring to Boy Meets World's infamous cult episode in which Shawn joined a cult because of girl, then becomes "completely brainwashed," then Mr. Turner gets...

Kevin Pollak spoke with Zap2it recently about his guest-starring turn on "Mom," which he loved doing and will return to later this spring. But we also asked him about his on-going web chat show, which celebrates its five-year anniversary in March. Pollak says he never intended to be some kind of podcast pioneer.
"I wasn't planning on being a podcast pioneer when I started. ... I've always been fascinated by reading autobiographies, I've always been fascinated by people's journeys. How did you get from there to here? That is what interests me," says Pollak. "When you see people on talk shows, they're promoting a book or a movie, a TV show, but you don't really find out anything about them ... there's no real sense of what they feel and believe about life and where life has led them, from their youth to this day. ... I just want to know these people better.

A Us remake of Sky1's Mad Dogs is reportedly in the works. The Shield creator Shawn Ryan revealed that he is developing a new version of the UK drama on web-series Kevin Pollak's Chat Show. "I'm working with a British writer - Cris Cole - who had a mini-series in Great Britain called Mad Dogs that we're looking to make as a mini-series over here," Ryan confirmed. The original Mad Dogs starred John Simm, Marc Warren, Max Beesley and Philip Glenister as four middle-aged friends who take a holiday to Majorca but find themselves drawn into a world of crime and corruption. Two four-part (more)...

He raced with the devil once before (in Arnie's millennial comeback End of Days), and now it seems Kevin Pollak looks set to get Biblical again, in Kevin Smith's Red State.Pollak confirmed via his Twitter account that Smith's offer "still has that new car smell", and later revealed himself to be in receipt of Smith's top secret script. "It's watermarked! Death pill in pocket while filming, maybe?"Red State is Smith's long-gestating religious-satire-cum-horror-cum-nobody-quite-knows-what, based to some extent on the gay-bashing Westboro Baptist Church and its pastor Fred Phelps. Tarantino / Rodriguez favourite Michael Parks is widely believed to have the villainous not-Phelps-at-all role, so it's unclear in what capacity Pollak is likely to come aboard. He has Smith previous though, interviewing the director for his weekly internet Kevin Pollak's Chat Show and turning up in Cop Out. So "likely" would seem to be the word. Last we heard, the...

Stupid For Movies is a weekly live streamed web show airing on Ustream every Thursday at 8 Pm Pdt. Created by Mike Rotman (Kevin Pollak’s Chat Show, Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher), the show is hosted by La Film critics Mark Keizer and Wade Major (IGN's The Digigods). Each week Keizer and Major discuss the best and worst in movies, including reviewing the latest movies to hit the theater, recommending DVDs to “Buy, Rent or Burn”, and talk news with special anchor Chad Vader. Rotman was kind enough to invite myself and my photographer (Aka: boyfriend), Stuart, down to the Streamin’ Garage studio, named for the fact that it literally is a converted garage, to view an episode taping. Though the show does run live, episodes of the show are then converted and uploaded to blip.tv (a job Rotman does himself, a bit of which we witnessed as we...

Web TV network Revision3 issued an open offer letter to NBC's The Tonight Show host Conan O'Brien to take his show online. After the embattled late night star rejected a proposal from NBC to move the show to another time slot, there are talks of a separation agreement, in the $30-40 million range, letting O'Brien leave the peacock network as Jay Leno prepares to take back over the 11:30 Pm time slot. So flush with cash from the settlement, and perhaps in a coup de grâce to NBC, O'Brien could take his popular show to the internet. Revision3's VP of Programming and Production Ryan Vance made the open offer, which they say is a serious one, to Conan "Coco" O'Brien today on the company's blog. The growing online network essentially built itself on high-profile hosts—like Diggnation's Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht—though O'Brien would clearly be the biggest personality they've had yet,...
