- [first lines]
- Lily: Oh, Tad, I'm so excited.
- Tad: Not as excited as I am, Lily!
- [Both giggle. Leap enters the treehouse with both arms full of school supplies]
- Leap: The big day has finally arrived, little sibs. Tomorrow is your first day of school. I bet you can hardly wait.
- Tad: I think I'm a little nervous. I'm getting a tummyache. I don't know my letters yet.
- Lily: What if school's not any fun?
- Tad: What if...
- [whispering]
- Tad: what if we have to go the bathroom?
- Tad, Lily: I don't think I'm ready for school. Me either.
- Tad: I'm nervous that I won't know what to do.
- Clock: In school, we all take turns speaking. So if you want to share your thoughts and ideas, raising your hand will tell the teacher that you have something to say.
- [Both Leap and Lily raise their hands. Tad waves his eagerly]
- Clock: Ah, much better. Now we'll have no trouble hearing one another.
- Tad: [jumping back and forth] Ooh, ooh, can I go first? Me, me, me!
- [He folds his hands]
- Tad: Pretty please?
- Clock: Quiet little girl, your question.
- [Tad lowers his hand and droops]
- [last lines]
- Lily: Mom and Dad are going to be so proud of us.
- [She and Tad giggle]
- Leap: [sounding sleepy] Tad? Lily?
- [yawns]
- Leap: Why are you up so early? School doesn't start for another two hours.
- Lily: Oh, we know.
- Tad: We just don't want to be late for our first day of school.
- Lily, Tad: [leaping into the air excitedly] It's going to be awesome!
