Imagine hating your protagonist (and women in general) so much. Making Kara quit her job, making it seem like she can't have it all like her cousin is very, very bad messaging. Is this really what you want the kids and teens watching the show who look up to Supergirl and Kara to see? Scary. I need Alex and Lena to stage an intervention next week and make Kara see that being Kara Danvers the reporter is equally as important as being Supergirl and that, in fact, she Can have it all. I refuse to believe this is how Kara's Catco journey ends. It goes against Everything this character stood for in the past 6 seasons!
And what is it with William Dey, the most shoehorned, flat, cheap character, mansplaining throughout the whole episode? Disgusting. Is he gonna tell Alex how to propose next week too? The character should have never been more than a guest star yet he slowly is forced on the viewers as some kind of hero that we all should care for and almost thank for existing. No, thank you! "Stop making William Dey happen! It's not going to happen!" as Regina George would say. The actor's acting talent, or lack of thereof, doesn't help stomaching the scenes he is in either.
Also, transphobes Don't deserve redemption arcs!!! Just like slave owners don't. But this show has different opinions in both cases unfortunately.
And what is up with one character always missing during the ep!? Where was Kelly? And Esme? You should've left William and Andrea in s5 since the cast is so big that there's no time to put everyone in the episode.
So little time left. So many mistakes to fix... I'm scared and sad because the core characters and the main actors deserve better. Especially Kara and Melissa. No wonder she's so happy and glowing now that she's free from this nightmare. Good for her. Can't wait to read her book that's coming out soon btw!
