It’s been almost ten years since The Hunger Games’ last installment hit the cinemas, but nobody from the main cast has been left in the shadows ever since.
Though Suzanne Collins’ widely famous franchise is expanding its universe and has recently got a brand new ramification titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the original movies are still a frequent binge-watch choice for many fans craving some nostalgia from the past years.
Back in the day, The Hunger Games was a huge success garnering more than $3 billion in total, and it definitely came as a big moment of fame for the franchise’s leading actors whose careers later on skyrocketed for good.
Years after the movie trilogy came to its end, all of them are still doing pretty good.

When Netflix launched "The Witcher" back in 2019, it was the streamer's attempt to kickoff a big fantasy franchise on the level with "Game of Thrones" or "Lord of the Rings." The move made sense. After all, not only are the "Witcher" video games very popular, but the Andrzej Sapkowski books they're based on offer a unique and different perspective on fantasy than other mainstream titles thanks to their Slavic mythology influence. This means the "Witcher" TV series and its spinoffs have a lot of rich source material to take inspiration from and change as they deem fit (something the main "Witcher" show has done a lot in the past). Netflix's "The Witcher" was also a huge hit, with the first season gifting us a viral hit song in "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher."
Like every modern fantasy property, "The Witcher" has since expanded into a shared universe, including a...

Elden Ring is arguably one of the most popular titles from FromSoftware. Akin to previous games from the studio, it was a Soulsborne title that took the formula of the subgenre and added an open-world twist to it. As a result, it turned out to be immensely successful.
A title that is thought to be similar to Elden Ring is Enotria: The Last Song. Jyamma Games is developing the title. It was initially reported to come on all significant platforms until the developers decided otherwise, and the title was officially canceled on Xbox.

Thai cinema has a long history of misrepresenting the Lgbtqia+ community. Early films, such as “It's All Because of Katoey” (1954) contributed to the assignation of homosexuality as a social deviance. Today, Thai media have made significant progress in presenting nuanced experiences of Lgbtqia+ individuals in modern Thai society. This article presents a chronological list of 12 Thai fiction films that help understanding this evolution.
1. The Last Song (1985) by Pisan Akaraseranee
“The Last Song” tells the bittersweet story of Somying (Somying Daorai), a beautiful and successful showgirl working in a famous transvestite cabaret in Pattaya. Through her thwarted love affair with a handsome male singer, the film highlights the difficulties of being trans in Thai society. It is one of the first films to cast a transgender woman in a leading role. The film's release was a revolutionary moment, not only for the Thai entertainment industry, but also for the Lgbtqia+ community.

Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson were so essential to the success of The Hunger Games, that they are still associated with the roles to this day.
They simply are Katniss Everdeen, Gale Hawthorne and Peeta Mellark.
However, that wasn’t a guarantee. Based on the success of author Suzanne Collins‘ books, the movie adaptations were one of the hottest projects in Hollywood when they were first announced. Everyone wanted to be part of the cast, and a lot of young stars were considered for each role.
Jennifer was cast before Josh and Liam, and reports at the time reveal exactly who was thought to be in the running. For Gale, Liam was one of four actors that were on a shortlist.
Before landing the part, his biggest role was beside Miley Cyrus in The Last Song. Of course, he has since become one of the biggest stars in the industry.

There was barely a dry eye in the house at the Los Angeles premiere three decades ago of HBO’s landmark AIDS’ film “And the Band Played On.” During the end credit sequence set to Elton John’s “The Last Song” was a montage of well-known people who had died of AIDS or were HIV positive including Ryan White, Rock Hudson, Anthony Perkins, Rudolf Nureyev, Arthur Ashe, Michael Bennett, Liberace, Halston, Peter Allen, Denholm Elliott, Brad Davis, Amanda Blake and Robert Reed.
No wonder emotions were running high. Deaths were rising every year. According to Social Security Administration, some 37,000 people died of HIV Illness in 1993. And it would be three years before the introduction of Haart-highly active antiretroviral therapy-that is often called the anti-hiv “cocktail.”
Based on Randy Shilts’ 1987 best-seller, “And the Band Played On: Politics, People, and the AIDS Epidemic,” the acclaimed film, which premiered on HBO on Sept.

Miley Cyrus spoke about the “magic” Malibu house she shared with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in her new “Used to Be Young” TikTok series.
The singer and Hemsworth — who tied the knot in December 2018 after years of dating, but split less than a year after the ceremony — lost their home in the devastating wildfires in 2018.
Cyrus referenced the house in her track “Flowers”, that was released earlier this year.
While speaking about her debut 2007 album, Meet Miley Cyrus, in the TikTok clip, the musician shared how producer Matthew Wilder had been living in the home at the time.
She recalled, “The Meet Miley Cyrus record was really where I started writing my own songs as a solo artist.
“I was working with a producer in Malibu that lived in a house in Ramirez Canyon, which I would’ve never known 15 years later I would be living in that house, which would eventually burn down.

Tracii Guns of L.A. Guns fame has unveiled a new band: Blackbird Angels. The group’s debut album, Solsorte, arrives September 8th, and the lead single “Shut Up (You Know I Love You)” can be heard now.
Guns formed the band alongside Todd Kerns, who is best known for his work with Slash and Myles Kennedy. Given the musical lineage of Guns and Kerns, “Shut Up (You Know I Love You)” hits the expected sweet spot of melodic hard rock with a hint of ’80s glam metal. For fans of L.A. Guns, it’s required listening.
“Todd and I have wanted to make a record for about 10 years now and we finally did it and it’s everything I hoped for,” Guns said via a press announcement. “With the addition of [drummer] Adam Hamilton, it’s pure magic. For live performances, Johnny Martin will play bass and Sam Bam Koltun will play guitar.

Jennifer Lawrence is revealing the truth behind those Liam Hemsworth cheating rumours.
After Miley Cyrus dropped her music video for “Flowers” earlier this year, some fans suggested she was making a dig at Lawrence by wearing a gold dress similar to the one the actress wore to “The Hunger Games” premiere back in 2012.
Lawrence was then asked about the rumours during a game of “Plead the Fifth” as she chatted to Andy Cohen on Monday’s “Watch What Happens Live”.

Miley Cyrus is loved-up with boyfriend Maxx Morando.
The “Flowers” hitmaker started dating the Liily drummer a couple of years ago, with her speaking out about the romance in a new interview with British Vogue.
She said of how they met, “We got put on a blind date.
“Well, it was blind for me and not really for him. I thought, ‘The worst that can happen is I leave.’”
The reporter pointed out Morando called Cyrus during the interview, with her phone playing “Tyrone” by Erykah Badu.
“I call that ‘boyfriend sexy ringtone’,” Cyrus smiled.

“Flowers”, the lead single for Miley Cyrus‘s album Endless Summer Vacation, is the singer’s latest hit thanks to its disco-funk production and lyrics that many fans read as a statement on Cyrus’s relationship with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
The themes of perseverance and self-reliance in the face of romantic frustration certainly don’t paint Hemsworth in the best light. People speculated online that the actor planned to sue Cyrus over the song’s content. This rumor was quickly debunked. But its mere existence shows that “Flowers” has more emotional weight to it than most pop songs.
No legal action is likely over Miley Cyrus’s ‘Flowers’
The suggestion that the song would lead to a court case started after a Miley Cyrus fan account on Twitter claiming that Hemsworth was suing Cyrus for defamation. The post is still up and has over 18 million views and 100,000 likes. It...

Miley Cyrus is the “healthiest and happiest she’s been in a long time,” a source has said.
According to People, the singer, who recently dropped her eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation, is thriving following years of drama surrounding her and ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
She and Hemsworth met back in 2009 while filming “The Last Song”. They dated on and off for years, before marrying in December 2018. They split less than a year later, and divorced in February 2020.
Despite the painful split, an insider told the mag of Cyrus now, “She’s the healthiest and happiest she’s been in a long time.
“Everyone was blaming her for the divorce and calling her this wild child, but that wasn’t fair. Their relationship and marriage was toxic, and she was heartbroken.”

Liam Hemsworth spent a decade of his life romancing Miley Cyrus. The two fell in love while working together on their 2010 film, "The Last Song," and by December 2018, after some highly-publicized ups and downs, they were married. Unfortunately, however, their marital bliss didn't last: they broke up eight months later, finalizing the divorce in January 2020.
Throughout their tumultuous relationship, the most insight fans got into Hemsworth and Cyrus's romance was via the singer's discography. Her 2013 album, "Bangerz," which came out shortly after the pair called off their first engagement, was packed with breakup anthems like "Wrecking Ball." Meanwhile, Cyrus's 2017 album, "Younger Now," was full of love songs like "Malibu" following their 2016 reconcilliation. It's safe to say her 2023 album, "Endless Summer Vacation," is inspired, at least in part, but their 2020 divorce (those "Flowers" lyrics are brutal).

Miley Cyrus isn't having any of it. In her new song "Muddy Feet," off her "Endless Summer Vacation" album, the singer seems to address a cheating partner, telling them to "get the f*ck out of my house with that sh*t" in the emotional pop ballad. Following speculation that her hit single "Flowers" was directed at her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth, some fans are assuming these lyrics could be directed at him as well, although Cyrus never explicitly mentions anyone by name.
A few lines in particular are generating attention. "And you smell like perfume that I didn't purchase / Now I know why you've been closing the curtains," Cyrus sings in the pre-chorus, alluding to infidelity. "You've watered the weeds and you killed all the roses," she continues in a subtle nod to her "Flowers" lyrics. "Worthy arrives when the other door closes."

Horror delights, rom-coms and a new sci-fi series starring Christoph Waltz are just a few of the highlights arriving on Amazon Prime Video in February. This month sees the debut of the second and final season of “Carnival Row” on Feb. 17, while Feb. 24 is when “The Consultant” – a “Severance”-like thriller series starring Waltz and directed by “WandaVision’s” Matt Shakman – drops.
In terms of new original Prime Video movies, on Feb. 10 there’s “Somebody I Used to Know,” a romantic comedy starring Alison Brie who co-wrote the script with her husband Dave Franco (who serves as director).
And you’ll find last year’s buzzy horror hit “Smile” on the streaming service on Feb. 21, while “Mad Max: Fury Road” filmmaker George Miller’s “Three Thousand Years of Longing” arrives on Feb. 17.
That’s not to mention noteworthy library additions like “A.I.,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley” and “Almost Famous.

February is the shortest month of the year but Prime Video is paying that no mind with its jam-packed list of new releases for February 2023.
This really is an uncommonly stuffed month on the Amazon streamer and it all starts with a handful of Amazon Originals. Amazon’s original offerings kick off with the release of Dave Franco-directed romcom Somebody I Used to Know on Feb. 10. That is followed by Carnival Row season 2 – a gritty fantasy crime drama is set in a world of steampunky fairies. The show stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevigne and this batch of episodes will be its swan song. Meanwhile The Consultant on Feb. 24 is a dark comedy workplace thriller starring Christoph Waltz.
The biggest hits this month, however, might just be some recent cinema faves. If February is for lovers, Amazon didn’t get the memo as there are quite a few horror movies of note here.

“Vanessa has crafted a groundbreaking and inspiring story that vividly depicts the remarkable life of Dorothy Thomas,” Robinson said. “We are so excited to be bringing it to the screen, and I could not be happier to have this opportunity to continue the collaboration with Adjoa that began on Bridgerton.

"But here I am, next to you, the sky's so blue, in Malibuuuuu."
Miley Cyrus's "Malibu" was the ultimate smooth summer song in 2017, and now, she's reflecting on how much the lyrics still mean to her today. On the four-year anniversary of the release on Tuesday, Cyrus shared a video of her recording the song at her home studio - yes, in Malibu - with a message about her ex, Liam Hemsworth.
"Today is the 4 year anniversary of Malibu. A song about a place and person that at the time I loved very much. That love was reciprocated beyond what I could describe here with freedom & escapism. I lost that home along with many others in 2018. Here is a video of me writing it in my home studio.

Watching The Last Song now just doesn't hit the same, does it? It's been 10 years since the film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' coming-of-age romance of the same name was released in theaters on March 31, 2010. And in that time, its stars Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth, who met while filming the movie on Tybee Island, Georgia and fell in love in the process, have broken up, gotten back together, surprised us all with a marriage announcement, and then surprised us even further by announcing their divorce just nine months after tying the knot. So, like we said, watching the love story of Ronnie and Will--especially their happy ending--feels a little bit bittersweet, like a promise being made that we...

Adam Shankman is set to direct “Hocus Pocus 2” for Disney+, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
“Workaholics” writer and co-producer Jen D’Angelo wrote the screenplay, while Lynn Harris will produce the film. Original “Hocus Pocus” cast members Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are not attached, but the studio is negotiating their involvement as to not reboot the first film.
