Pretty great

Warning: Spoilers
The episode was intense and captivating. The story development seems engaging and it definitely makes me want to unravel the rest of the story.

One thing that made me think, though:
  • upon slashing that poor man's throat and putting him on fire, I wonder how was he able to screen considering his vocal cords were slashed. Some dark magic there.

But, apart from that, amazing.

Scenarios and character development really well done.

Worms

Warning: Spoilers
Episode starts very good, with Captain departure on land and moving in unsettling home full of mysteries, old and new. Excellent acting from Brody, especially his delivering of frightened man who tries to hide dark secret of his family, beside acting, cinematography is great, with worm tripping and pictures of Maine nature. We saw some gruesome murder and i hope that Boone (Brody) isn't a killer of a pyromaniac who have lost it. That man who will soon lose his daughter decided that a Boon family is to blame for sickness of his daughter and for all bad that happening in town.

So, great beginning and i hope it will continue to be as good like it is now. From me 9\10.

It's a must see series

I loved the historical horror episode so much. The costumes and the sets should win awards for accuracy. The drone? Shots over Maine were stunning. The film is beautifully edited. The casting is spot on. The girl from Schitts Creek is genius casting with her creepy haunting presence. Adrian abs the children appear to be a very authentic family. The relationships appear very believable. The kids seem natural and they are beautiful to watch. Brody restrains his tone and personality to fit the character in such a cool style. You believe that he loves his kids and he is a likable but mysterious character. Every gesture and word sucks you into the story line. There are just enough twists and frights to keep you on the edge of your seat. Pay attention to every detail because it's all very clever. The writing is brilliant. As a SK fan I appreciate the the way this script captures the best parts of the book. TV has been so mundane during Covid. I thank EPIX for picking up this show. Two thumbs up. I can't wait to see how the story continues to evolve. It's a tasteful artfully written horror flick. They just don't write this quality anymore. This is a gift to the EPIX subscribers. I am so pleasantly surprised. It's so much better than anything in horror as of late.

PERFECTION 10/10

Everything about this premiere was perfection. Brody's acting and the mystery and the atmosphere are perfectly displayed, and the tone set with the same perfection. There's just nothing bad to say about it. Whoever said it wasn't "scary" is just full of crap. See it for yourself before believing bogus reviews by people who obviously have no taste. I only hope it doesn't lose momentum in the finale, like Castle Rock did.

When will Stephen King learn his lesson and start making his tv adaptations more scary 😨
