In this episode super government agent Mike Waring is in New York City investigating a book making operation. The book maker's gimmick is to use the home phone of innocent people who are in need of money. In this case, it's in the apartment of Kip and Betty Apppleton. Kip is a professional football player who was injured and is now in a wheelchair and unable to talk although in time he's expected to recover. The whole thing is pretty silly and McGraw is just not personable enough to raise the show above the pedestrian - of course his not having a good storyline to work with doesn't help. That said, Douglas Fowley (he of dozens of B movies) as the chief crook and George E. Stone (Runt in the Boston Blackie movies) as the henchman were good in their roles.
