The show has one in splits if one understands Tanglish - a smattering of English + Tamil. (In Alex s words). The ability and energy to keep the audience riveted for a little over 2 + hours is highly commendable. And Alex s energy never dips anytime during the show.. I m waiting to see what he comes up with next - coz he definitely has set high standards on the audience s expectations with this piece of work.

Beauty lies in simplicity. Excellent all-round performance.

A musical journey from 1950s to 2000s. Mr Alexander Babu's performance is extraordinary. A must watch.

As a Malayali, I have a bit of understanding of Tamil music. Alex was amazing. He took his own time and even though its a long format, it worth it. Its like a great novel or a great movie...need to give time to get into the mode. Its also an eye opener and gives a lot of credit to unsung heros of tamil music. Its a must watch.

This is my first review on any movie or show, so you can understand how much I loved this show. If you can understand tamil/ like Tamil music, I'm 100% sure you will watch it again and again. I never got bored even after watching more than 100 times.

Never seen before kind of standup comedy. You can't stop watching this video once!!

Phony rating on this. It wasn't funny. Music and singing is one thing, but this is disappointing since the music ends up being the feature and not really engaging for what it is. The star is talented but this show is not what it is promoted to be and he cannot carry a full hour show.

Alex stands out by far and sets a very bar and he just has himself to compete with. No curse words, no cheap jokes, very rich content, amazing talent! So gifted musically wrapped with amazing sense of humor, this is just his start, he will reach greater heights in the years to come!

The show is completely mind blowing. Alex is so talented that he can impress with his extra-ordinary singing and playing music instruments at the same time make us laugh. The variety he shows in his singing is simply mind blowing. Some of his comments/imagination on songs are extremely hilarious (like his comment on "Karnan"). Eagerly waiting for what he comes up with next.

Never imagined a comedy show with so much musical talent, fully enjoyed. Might have watched more than 40 times in prime video. Must watch.

Alex was smart with this one. He's clearly hella talented, I don't know if he's trained to play all those instruments or he taught himself, respect to him regardless (and he can sing) but that was more of a 'cover band' concert and far from being a standup comedy. Take out everything musical, 10% of the show had stuff that NOT about music.

I liked the Sivaji wanting to act and Rajini walking around fast thing, but there was nothing else in the show FOR ME. Standup comedy nu paatha paatu padran! SMART on his part. He knew what would people may enjoy, what would sell tickets, and he did exactly that. Props to him for that. This was all a big audition for Alex to show the world he's musically talented and can hella sing. Won't be surprised if he ends up singing in Kollywood in a couple years. But this was anything but a standup comedy show.

Making people clap by saying "Oooh, I have massive respect for *insert the name of someone who already has massive respect from a massive following* == people clapping for THAT person and not the person on stage. Him name dropping was EXACTLY the same as Shahrukh khan/Kareena going "Thalaiva thalaiva" in Ra. One and name dropping Rajini in Lungi dance so that South Indian people like the song. What they did was stupid af and Alex did the same. Losing it on SRK (which i did too) and praising Alex for the very same thing is double standards.

Standup, to me, and clearly 90% of the viewers of this special disagree with me, is to have the ability to say something controversial but make it sound funny so that it doesn't SEEM controversial because you know there's no malice intended; to be able to say stuff that can offend people otherwise, but because said people are in that setting, won't take offense to the material. They know it was funny so they let it slide.

You can play off of people's nostalgia, i get that, but this was not standup comedy. Entertaining perhaps, but not funny.
