In a world replete with quick-spreading disinformation and the subsequent, dangerous proliferation of kooky conspiracy theories, the 2021 animated series "Inside Job" — created by Shion Takeuchi (a writer on "Gravity Falls" and "Disenchantment") — was perfectly timed. "Inside Job" posited that every single conspiracy theory you've ever heard — whether it be Reptilians, JFK, the Mandela effect, the flat Earth, or the faked moon landing — were all 100 percent real. Clones were out there, severed heads were being kept alive in labs, and aliens regularly visited Earth. Just like in "The X-Files," ordinary citizens weren't allowed access to this knowledge.
Earth's conspiracies were overseen by a mysterious underground organization called Cognito, Inc., one of six major shadow governments secretly in charge of the world. The other five were the Catholic Church, the Illuminati, Atlantis, the Reptoids, and the Juggalos (tee hee). The central joke of "Inside Job" was that Cognito, Inc. was staffed by flawed,...

Kim Kardashian is embracing developing her acting chops in the newest season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Horror Story.”
“Anytime you try something, you just have to have the intention of growing and challenging yourself,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star said in a behind-the-scenes teaser for the upcoming FX series’ latest season, subtitled “Delicate.” “Then you just kinda release and have fun.”
“American Horror Story: Delicate,” which premieres Wednesday, centers on actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts) who struggles with multiple failed attempts of IVF to achieve her dream of starting a family. “As the buzz around her recent film grows, she fears that something may be targeting her — and her pursuit of motherhood,” according to the official logline.

Produced by Rashida Jones, the show follows Nella Rogers (Sinclair Daniel) as she battles microaggressions and the isolation of being the only Black girl at Wagner Books. That is until the publishing house hires Hazel May McCall (Ashleigh Murray). At first, Nella is overjoyed, but she starts to realize that though they share skin color and culture, the two girls could not be more different.
Author Harris executive produced the show, written by Gus Hickey and Jordan Reddout. Some special guest stars appear here and there throughout the sinister series. Read on to learn who plays whom in Hulu’s “The Other Black Girl”:

“The Other Black Girl” is a rarity for Black women in scripted television. The latest series from Onyx Collective to premiere on Hulu, this psychological thriller and satire tinged with horror offers a rare and provocative look into the challenges facing Black women within the larger white society, while also exploring their internal tensions through a mainstream premise.
Adapted from the 2021 book of the same name from Zakiya Dalila Harris, the show centers two Black women working in book publishing, widely acknowledged as one of the least diverse industries in the country. Nella Rogers (Sinclair Daniel) is a promising young employee at Wagner Books, with eyes on becoming an impactful editor like her idol Kendra Rae Phillips, the publisher’s first and only Black editor to date, did back in the early 1980s. Being the only Black woman at the company can be isolating, so it’s only natural that...

The first trailer for “American Horror Story: Delicate” has arrived, and Kim Kardashian is demanding to know which is more important: an Oscar or a baby?
“Do you want an Oscar? Do you want it as much as a baby?” Kardashian’s Siobhan Walsh asks Emma Roberts’ Anna Victoria Alcott.
Though “American Horror Story” Season 12 has already released several unsettling and stylized teasers, this clip is the first look into what this new season is about. Based on Danielle Valentine’s book “Delicate Condition” and showrun by playwright Halley Feiffer (“I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard”), fans already knew this season would center around a Hollywood star who’s desperate to have a child. But as she gets further and further down the path of motherhood, she starts to believe several people are trying to stop her from having this baby, including her own husband.

A few of last year’s most notable horror movies are still without physical media releases, and that’s because they ended up being streaming exclusives. That list includes Netflix’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hulu’s Prey, along with Hulu and David Bruckner‘s Hellraiser.
We have no idea at this time whether or not Hellraiser will be released on DVD/Blu-ray here in the United States, but we’ve learned the film is hitting DVD over in the United Kingdom.
The UK DVD release of Hellraiser (2022) arrives on March 27, 2023. As always, you’ll be able to watch the disc here in the States but you’ll need a Region Free DVD player first.
David Bruckner (The Night House), who helmed Netflix’s The Ritual as well as sections of Bloody Disgusting’s horror anthologies V/H/S and Southbound, directed the relaunch of the Hellraiser franchise for Spyglass Media,...

David Bruckner’s Hellraiser reboot is now streaming exclusively on Hulu, and today 20th Century Studios takes us behind the scenes for a look at the film’s brand new Hell Priest.
Titled “Becoming the Priest,” the short featurette video introduces Jamie Clayton as the new Hell Priest (aka Pinhead), showing off time lapse video footage of the incredible makeup.
“The makeup takes four hours to do, and about 45 minutes to an hour to remove,” Clayton explains. She describes the gruesome new look, “It’s so beautiful. Oh, it’s wild.”

Pity the poor monsters of legendary horror movie franchises: Time and familiarity and cruddy sequels render them toothless and soft, formerly ferocious animals one can now pet, their evil energy sapped by fan adoration. To be fair, there is entertainment value in the cartoonish experience of Freddy Krueger as a wisecracking quip machine, or viral videos posted by proud parents of deranged six-year-olds who terrorize playgrounds in Michael Myers costumes. There is Count Chocula.
But inevitably something is lost, and that has also been the fate of the “Hellraiser” film series, of which there were three released theatrically and seven more for the home market. As more and more sequels played fast and loose with creator Clive Barker’s thematic vision for his Cenobites — extra-dimensional entities that sought carnal experience, preying on conflicted human desires and obsessions — the quality suffered and those giddy, early thrills faded from memory. The films’ leading Cenobite,...

Hulu’s Hellraiser, a reimagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic from director David Bruckner, will debut in the U.S. exclusively on Hulu on October 7, which means we’re just about one week away from the return of the franchise. Hulu has announced that its reimagining of the 1987 horror classic Hellraiser will debut exclusively on the streamer in the U.S., as part of its annual “Huluween” celebration of fright-filled content, on October 7.
The original film, which introduced horror fans to the iconic monster known as Pinhead, watches as a woman comes upon the newly resurrected, partially formed body of her brother-in-law. She then starts killing for him to revitalize his body, so that he can escape the demonic beings that have been pursuing him after he himself made his way out of their sadistic underworld. Clive Barker directed the pic from his own script, which was itself based on his 1986 novella The Hellbound Heart, with Clare Higgins, Ashley Laurence, Andrew Robinson, Sean Chapman, Robert Hines, Doug Bradley, Nicholas Vince, Simon Bamford, Grace Kirby and Oliver Smith starring.

Netflix has done it again! After just one season, it canceled the international drama Hit & Run, from the team behind Fauda and starring Lior Raz and Sanaa Lathan. This comes after a big summer of cancellations for the streamer, which saw freshman series like The Crew, Country Comfort, The Irregulars, Jupiter’s Legacy, Grand Army, and Dad Stop Embarrassing Me all axed. The Netflix turnover has some viewers streaming mad. “Man, Netflix makes these great shows and cancels them after one season,” one tweeted. “It’s absolutely annoying.” Another Twitter user wrote, “Netflix needs to stop making shows that it never promotes and then cancels after one season because it got no exposure… Getting me emotionally invested in canceled shows and for what.” The Powers That Be at Netflix are aware of the criticism.
