What? We can still laugh at timely non-political comedy???
Jimmy Shin's refreshing comedy sidesteps politics completely and focuses on the human experience filtered through one good-natured, raunchy, and hilariously insightful view. He manages to provoke laughter about universal themes of identity, fear of the mafia, and the awkward necessity for a printer if pursuing a politically correct sex life. He also answers that burning question "What does UCLA really stand for?" In a comedy landscape which others have richly fertilized with the $*&% of contemporary politics it is truly refreshing to feel a true belly laugh for actual human themes. His comedy is an assortment of styles masterfully combined-- he has zany bits like the hilarious "if Bruce Lee were alive today" and also more poignant but relentlessly self-mocking bits like being taunted as a child and learning when it comes to some things, he just can't win. He does actually prove himself wrong though, because this comedy special is a true winner. Watch to the very end for a hilarious sketch directly after the show.
