Fun Episode
100 Years of Horror: Blood-Drinking Beings (1996)
*** (out of 4)
The second episode in Ted Newsom's series takes a look at various blood suckers who aren't exactly Dracula himself. This episode takes a look at films like BLACK SABBATH, THE VAMPIRE BAT, DEAD MEN WALK, THE VAMPIRE LOVERS, LUST FOR A VAMPIRE, NOT OF THIS EARTH and THE OMEGA MAN among many others.
Fans of the series (it's a really good one) will certainly be entertained by this episode and especially since there are clips from all of the movies as well as interviews with the filmmakers. We get to hear a few comments from the likes of Roger Corman, Roy Ward Baker, Ferdy Mayne, Dick Miller, Caroline Munro, Jimmy Sangster and Brinke Stevens as well. The episode does a nice job at highlighting some of the lesser known bloodsucker movies and the interviews are certainly worth sitting through the episode for.
