Featured review
One of the most revealing episodes.
Timeless time sees Victor unable to speak, and subsequently neither can Margaret.
It's not necessarily the funniest episode, particularly when you check the content of Series two and three, but it is of course highly regarded for many reasons. The show would often so single and double handed episodes, this was a good example of the faith Renwick had in his stars, they had the ability to pull it off.
It's more revealing than funny, we learn so much about The Meldrews, we go from hearing Victor ranting about everything, and suddenly the tone changes to a much more sombre note, where Margaret discusses Stuart, was this the only time he had a mention? I believe it was.
There are some funny moments, the hedgehog incident is funny, but the humour comes from the fact that Victor doesn't really care about waking his poor wife.
Very well acted, excellent, 9/10.
