When West is climbing up the rope, his holster is empty. His gun reappears when he reaches the Indian conclave.
Before the first act break, six Indians surround Aimee. However, afterward there are only four.
When Artemus pours the president a drink, the glass is only 1/4 full. When Grant picks it up, however, it's 3/4 full.
When the jailer goes to release Artie (now in a changed disguise as the trapper) the jailer clumsily pulls his revolver out of his holster and puts it back just as clumsily, using his RIGHT hand. The holster, which is on his right hip (with the barrel of the gun to the rear and the handle to the front), appears to be designed to go on the LEFT hip, or it is designed to be drawn using the left hand across the body. Reaching across the body to draw the revolver makes no logical sense, as the jailer appears to be right-handed. Also, if the design was to have the user reach across the body, the holster should have been closer to his front, as its actual location is so far back that it would be extremely awkward to reach that far around to draw the gun. It is difficult to believe that the U.S. Army of the day would have intentionally designed such an important piece of equipment that way. Update: The revolver was worn on the right with the butt forward because the cavalry at the time considered the saber (worn on the left side) as the primary weapon. It was drawn cross-body and wielded in the right hand, In a similar fashion, the revolver (being the secondary weapon) would then be cross-body drawn and used in the left hand (it was also easier to draw cross-body when riding a horse). Search for 'Why did the US cavalry wear their pistol holsters backwards' for a discussion.
Horace Greeley was editor of the New York Tribune, not the New York Herald. Also, Greeley had only two daughters who survived to adulthood.
The guard who releases Artie (or more accurately forces Artie) out of the cell is carrying an 1973 Single Action Army Colt (commonly know as the Peacemaker) with a 5 ½ inch barrel. But a SAA with that short of a barrel was for the civilian market. Instead, he should have had SAA with a 7 ½ inch barrel as that was what the Army issued to its rank and file.
Historically, there was one Lieutenant General on active duty in 1874, Philip H. Sheridan. Sheridan's predecessors in that rank were President George Washington, President Grant, and William T. Sherman.
When West falls down onto the rock ledge, it jiggles like a piece of a set - not a solid rock ledge. Also, he flicks a rather large stone further into the hole with just a flick of his fingers indicating that it is quite light.
When West escapes from the cell, he punches the two bars out with his hand. The first bar obviously bends like rubber. The second one probably does also, but it is difficult to detect.
When West attacks what he thinks is Strong Bear, the face of Strong Bear is obviously the plastic face of a dummy.
Somehow after Jim escaped to more bars disappeared from the window opening.
Gordon signs the duty roster with what is apparently a ballpoint pen. (He does not dip it in an inkwell.)
When Artemus as Strong Bear rises from the burial platform, a cable is clearly visible pulling him up.
When Aimee Baldwin is first accosted by the Native Americans it is never established how she got there. She supposedly followed James West, and clearly they are miles from the fort, but she does not have a horse and must ride back with him.
During the fight outside. There are 3 shoots fired. You can hear people inside where there a boxing match going on
Yet no soldiers came out to investigate.
The orderly salutes Gordon while not wearing a cap. Salutes are only given when "covered" or reporting to a superior officer.
The general is wearing the rank of Lieutenant General, three stars, but is referred to as a Major General throughout.
