Guest stars John Carradine and Mike Connors were both in the cast of the biblical epic The Ten Commandments (1956) from two years earlier. Both also portrayed the same character in different versions of a western classic, with Carradine having originated the role of Hatfield in the original Stagecoach (1939) and Connors playing that part in the 1966 remake, eight years after the two actors appeared in this episode.
In the final scene where Flint and Dora are saying their goodbyes, the soundtrack music in the background is the same melody as "Aura Lea" better known later, with new lyrics, as the Elvis Presley hit "Love Me Tender".
