Hooker and Romano's police car changes from a 1978 Dodge Monaco (vertical headlights) to a 1979 Dodge St. Regis (horizontal headlights) several times while they are driving.
The sign outside the jail reads LC County Jail. In Sweet Sixteen and Dead (1983), it was established that the city of LC was in LA County, so the sign should have read LA County Jail.
When Hooker arrives at the yacht club, he gets out of the patrol car and closes the drivers side door completely. When Vince arrives back at the patrol car minutes later to aide Hooker in chasing the suspect, the drivers side door is now slightly ajar. He doesn't even left up the handle to open it. He just grabs it by the window opening to pull the door open.
In the opening shot, as Hooker and his dog jog past a fisherman, the dog stops and eats the fisherman's food. Hooker then discovers a dead girl on the beach.
At the motel shootout, Hooker fires 7 rounds from a 6 shot revolver without reloading.
In the second to last scene of this episode, Hooker says, "I want to help you Roy." The character that Hooker was speaking to was named Ray [Downing] not Roy.
