When Homer goes to Rep. Beauregard to drink him under the table, Beauregard fills his glass before challenging Homer to a drinking contest. Cut to Homer: "Why not before?" Back to Beauregard, and his glass is empty. It is possible, but highly unlikely that he drank it.
After Kent Brockman announces that Krusty has won the election, Krusty states that he is a senator. Lisa corrects him by stating that he is actually a "congressman". However Lisa's statement is misleading. Congress is both houses of the US federal legislature. Members of the Senate are called "senators" and members of the House of Representatives, to which Krusty has just been elected, are called "representatives". Both senators and representatives are members of congress and therefore congressmen/women. However, US representatives are often referred to as "Congress(wo)man." i.e. Congressman Andre Carson, Congresswoman Susan Brooks.
