Nice

Nice episode of self-affirmation and personal revenge that turns into the usual moral banalotte on forgiveness and forgetting. Episode focused on Bart having adventures and when the bets are on him they are just very light.

Another classic

I'm not sure what this other guy is talking about because I thought this episode was another classic and had me laughing a lot. Giving this a bad review like one star isn't doing this episode justice. If you're a true Simpson fan then you'll appreciate this episode as well. Many people are disliking just to hate and what not, but this episode was pretty awesome with tony hawk as the celebrity guest too! I believe past season 16 is when the show started really slowing down but up until then there were still a lot of good episodes and this is one that always comes to mind. I've seen a lot of really good episodes rated really low as well and a lot of them, in my mind, were classics as well. So watch and be the judge for yourself be appreciative of all the glory.

An okay episode with a little too much of a celebrity worship aftertaste

The whole plot with Bart getting emancipated and living in a crappy neighborhood is mildly entertaining and unfunny to me.

However once it turns into Tony Hawk temporarily living nearby and being extremely friendly to Bart it starts to feel bad and not fun to watch.

The 300th. Or is it?

Warning: Spoilers
In the 300th (or is it 302nd) episode of the show Bart divorces his family, and sees the up/down side of this.

I liked this episode, I thought it had some nice moments of humour, and had some nice heart to it too.

Is it the best episode of the show ever? No. But it's certainly watchable.

What an awful, awful episode.

This is the episode that caused me to stop watching the Simpsons after 14 years of loyal viewer ship. "I hope you don't mind living below a bunch of pro skaters!" "Hey, Blink-182!"

After a couple episodes in the last few seasons that brought some cringe worthy moments, mostly involving celebrities voicing themselves, this was a new low.

The amount of music that seemed to not have been original to the series (by Alf Clausen or otherwise) and pulled off of pop radio and classic rock stations skyrocketed by this point, too.

I don't think the writers were being lazy or ran out of ideas, but it did seem to be a way to get interested parties into the show without giving them a reason to be there. Jamming musical acts to say a stiffly say a line into an episode for no reason other than to stiffly say a line did nothing. Any Simpsons fans that have done Simpsons trivia in their towns probably know exactly why most trivias don't go beyond season 8 or 9.
