Ah, the famous Butterfly Effect. The episode demonstrates that the simple decision of a butterfly can change a whole series of events. In this episode the outcome is inevitable, sadly enough.
I especially like the way the contrast between the timelines are made in the jokes, such as JD claiming he is "a lefty" in the first and "a righty" in the second, or Carla demanding two opposites from Turk. What less to expect from the brilliant writers of Scrubs?
