Would a drug dealer please put a hit on Sheena Easton!
This episode felt like a rip-off of Brian De Palma at this worst...and since De Palma always rips off Hitchcock, the old man must be having fits in his over-sized grave.
Don Johnson directed this 'thriller' that for some reason has vice cops trying to entrap a serial killer. Sounds scary doesn't it? No. And it's not. If it wasn't for POV shots that continue to mislead the viewer I don't know what they would have done to fill the time to get this one in the can...oh wait, how about a 5 minute musical montage of Crockett driving around contemplating marriage crosscut with his wife at home sad and lonely.
Yup, we're back to season 2 & 3 shlock here with thin characterizations and transparent plot lines. All you got to do is check your watch for every plot point before it hits you over the head, that is, if you didn't see it coming from a mile away.
And please, would some revenge mad drug dealer do us all a favor and wack Crockett's wife Caitlin Davies. Every time we're forced to sit through another sappy scene with her and Crockett you can see the ratings sliding downhill.
