Having been watching old episodes of THE A-TEAM and KNIGHT RIDER at the same time recently, I'm surprised at how obviously they recycle the plots of each other. NOT A DROP TO DRINK is a companion piece to the A-TEAM story WATER, WATER EVERYWHERE, telling of a rich and ruthless landowner who has been cutting the water supply of innocent ranchers going about their livelihood. Michael and KITT turn up to save the day with typically enjoyable results; there's something satisfying in the simplicity of these stories, where the bad guys wlays get their dues without too much hassle. Watch out for the disaster-fused climax recycling stock footage from SUPERMAN. Sondra Currie stands out here as the young woman making a stand with the odds stacked against her.

Michael and K. I. T. T. are send to protect a group of ranchers who's water supply is being cut off by a wealthy landowner. Michael meets his match in a hotheaded young widow who leads the fight for their rights and is instructed to make sure she doesn't do anything too impulsive.
A simple good vs bad with the emphasis on water supply. Average episode bolstered by wide open countryside, dams and KITT becoming matodor and putting a bull through his faces. The fun is in it's simplicity, though it's not too outstanding.

Not a particularly great ep, unfortunately because I don't think the guest cast was very good surprisingly because of Carey Jr who was great in so many westerns.
But even still, seeing KITT be a bull fighter is one of the best gags of the series.

Veteran character actor Harry Carey jr plays a rancher who with his hot headed daughter in law reluctantly accepts Michael's help to take on a despicable landowner who wants to take their land by sabotaging the water supply.
In order to aid the ranchers, KITT drives the car sideways, rounds up a rampaging bull, pretends to be a being from outer space to make a dim henchman talk (I guess the Cylon front grille helped.) Unfortunately a dog mistakes KITT for a lamppost in order to relieve itself.
Sondra Currie is very appealing as Francesca the widow with a cute boy who has an attraction for Michael.
We also see KITT fire some rockets to stop a dam from bursting which uses footage from Superman: The Movie.
