- Quotes
Captain Anthony Nelson: Jeannie, listen, try to understand this. In the service, the kind of woman a man marries is very important. "And what does your wife do, Captain Nelson?" "Well, she's a genie, sir, I put her in a bottle every night." How's that gonna look on my service record?

Barton MacLane debuts as General Martin Peterson
"Too Many Tonys" was the episode that finally introduced a permanent general to the series (after trying out five over the first 14), veteran character star Barton MacLane as Martin Peterson, quite adept at villains, which made his often over the top reactions to Dr. Bellows uproarious. With General Peterson and Dr. Bellows concluding that married astronauts come off 6% better than single ones, Jeannie yet again has marriage on her mind, blinking up a phony Tony to show her master what to expect: "I don't want to see me around here again!" An unexpected visit from the good doctor finds Jeannie alone, a real homebody who just might be the answer to Captain Nelson's prayers. Roger is upset that he's not Tony's best man, while General Peterson practically invites himself to the wedding, though Captain Nelson's overly enthusiastic lovemaking gets his blood pressure up: "put her down, that comes later!" The addition of Barton MacLane, as brief as his appearance is, completes the NASA family after trial and error.
