Once again, Hercules has less screen time than the comic duo of Iolaus and Autolycus, to give Kevin Sorbo time to recuperate from his stroke.
Cupcake meets Iolaus for the first time. In Men in Pink (1998), she was a member of Widow Twanky's theater troupe. Both Iolaus and Twanky are played by Michael Hurst.
Autolycus teaches a common woman, Cupcake, to walk and talk like a princess much like Professor Henry Higgins instructs Eliza Doolittle in George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion" and its musical adaptation "My Fair Lady". Hence the title "My Fair Cupcake". At 13:25 Autolycus says to Cupcake "By Zeus, I think you've got it". Compare this to "By George, I think she's got it" which is a lyric in "The Rain in Spain" from "My Fair Lady".
This is the first episode since Men in Pink (1998), six episodes earlier, which does not feature Ares. Men in Pink was the Autolycus-heavy episode where Cupcake first appeared.
