When Father Jack develops an advanced stage of hairiness he's sent to a home, Bishop Brennan sends Ted a suitable replacement.
It's another classic episode, Series two is literally classic after classic. I make no apology for saying that Jack is my favourite character, the laughs provided by him are eternal, so a brave move to sideline him, in favour of someone else. Fortunately they got it spot on, Stack is a great character.
Brendan Grace is wonderful as Father Stack, he played it with a degree of subtlety, I thought he was terrific.
Favourite scene has to be Ted's trip down memory lane, as he remembers his many encounters with Jack.
I can remember at the time one or two Catholic friends being up in arms about this episode, the way it portrayed retired priests as drunken, girl loving, hairy old men.
Wonderful, 9/10.
