The plots evolve around some construction workers redoing the steps going down to Cheers. When Rebecca refuses to give bribes to the workers, trouble happens. She decides to knock out a window and create a new entrance, but Norm gets stuck in it. The other plot is the trouble that starts when Mother Clavin shows up. Cliff treats her rudely and Woody intervenes and the two of them become rivals.

There is construction done next to the bar and Sam wants to bribe them to make them work faster but Rebecca is against it. Cliff's mom is back and ants to live with him but he says he doesn't want to give up living alone. So she moves in with Woody and Cliff ends up being jealous about it.
Not a bad episode. Was kind of weird when Rebecca referred to Norm as an accountant, isn't he a painter now? Guess they needed it just for the sake of the joke.
It is always good to see Cliff's mother. Such a fun character, she had many great lines in this episode.
