It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Bar (#11.14)

Warning: Spoilers
Robin is back. He gave away his money and is now living poor life. Rebecca thinking that he just wants to test her love and pretends that she will give everything up as well and will go with him away. Meanwhile in the bar they get the idea that Robin still has a hidden money belt there and start looking, almost destroying the bar and deceiving each other only to find out that Robin is indeed poor.

A pretty great episode. Fun to see them all plotting and trying to get to the money. And maybe it is just me but it was kind of fun to see Frasier and Carla teaming up.

Was also great to Roger Rees again

Robin's Return
Hitchcoc17 September 2019
Robin returns, penniless (so he says) in pedestrian clothing, asking for a drink of water and a chance to see Rebecca. He makes an offhand comment about often leaving double amounts of money lying around. Of course, the barflies are soon tearing the place apart. Also, Rebecca, who doesn't believe him, tries to convince him that she would be happy to follow him, even in his present condition. The Cheers people even kidnap a fire chief whom they believe stole the money when Cheers caught fire..

Greed is ugly!!

Warning: Spoilers
Robin returns, looking like a bum. He tells the Cheers gang that he gave up his money and has been on the road. Rebecca thinks he's testing her, and the others think Robin hid a money belt full of cash somewhere in the bar. So Rebecca warms up to him, and Sam and the gang tear up the bar, looking for it. Sam says he's entitled to half of it because it's his bar, and let's them do all the work. They even kidnap the former fire chief, (who looks like Norm), thinking he found the belt after the fire in the bar. Robin convinces everyone but Rebecca that he truly is broke. Sam has to pay to renovate the bar after tearing it apart, and Rebecca is still a whiny gold digger, which is why I hated her character. Somewhat funny episode.
