The gifts given to Woody as he leaves Cheers: Sam gives him the picture of him pitching as a reliever that hung at the bar (it was really another pitcher, but in the Cheers universe, it was Sam); Carla gives him one of her Elvis earrings (the other was swallowed by a date); Diane gives him her copy of Being and Nothingness by Jean-Paul Sartre that her mother gave her in grade school; Norm gives him a six pack of Herman Joseph's 1868 (brewed by Coors in Golden, Colorado from 1980 to 1989); from Cliff a sheet of commemorative stamps depicting all the U.S. presidents (except nine); and from Frasier... well, he didn't know they were giving gifts.
In this episode, we finally get to see The Hungry Heifer, the bargain-beef restaurant that Norm continually visits and talks about.
This episode features the first external view of the stairs leading down to the front door of the bar during Sam's film for Woody's parents.
The only episode with a scene in Carla's back yard.
Doris Grau's third and final appearance as Corinne, the waitress at the Hungry Heifer; she was a relief waitress at Cheers in season 4's Diane Chambers Day (1986) and season 5's Dinner at Eight-ish (1987).
