Yes, it's rare, but a very interesting story how Stu Bailey gets scammed by some international crooks, who stole a million dollars in securities right under his watchful eye.
I agree with the last reviewer, Stu heads to Switzerland -- but obviously it's a snowy set at Warner Brothers in Burbank! Actually, the snow draped scenes are well done, and with some very good acting thanks to director Richard Sarafian, who in the early 70s would direct the cult film, VANISHING POINT.
You have to love this cast, lead by trigger happy Interpol agent Kurt Kreuger, famous for playing Nazis in classic war films of the 40s. He appeared in five series episodes, and for good reason. He is a class act. Also a treat to see Albert Paulsen as villain Rudolph, best known for memorable performances in such shows as MISSION IMPOSSIBLE and HAWAII FIVE O.
Yes, Stu gets in some romance time with beautiful hotel desk clerk Adrianne, played by Maria Machado.
But, as always, don't underestimate our cool hero.
Again, as I had written earlier, these final episodes of the season may have been a lead-in to the next season where Stu went it alone, and with some equally dangerous characters. Wait and see.
