This show begins the way most episodes of "Way Out" began--with a very psychotic/LSD style narration by Roald Dahl. You really have to see it to believe it. I liked it and thought it was pretty funny--it's just too bad the series was so short-lived.
The story begins with a couple going to a funeral. During the viewing, the creepy mortician keeps making odd glances at a man (Don Keefer) who is married to a horrible wife (Charlotte Rae). Every second, the woman talks, talks, talks--mostly about TV. And, she NEVER listens nor gives the guy a chance to say anything. Rae truly plays one of the most annoying wives in TV history here--much worse than her funny portrayal of Sylvia Schnauser on "Car 54"! She is so horrible that any sane man would either leave her or kill her--and her husband has finally had enough and he's decided to kill her. When he's out walking and thinking about HOW to do it, the creepy mortician appears and offers to help. What happens next is...well...creepy (of course) and very macabre...and a bit funny. Well worth seeing--and a lot of fun. If you like black humor, then this one's for you.
