Updated: There has been another round of content removal from Disney+, this time in the Emea region, which consists of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. More than 120 titles have been taken off this week, primarily Disney Channel original movies and vintage Disney live-action films, as well as a few series, including Zeke and Luther, Pepper Ann, So Random and the first three seasons of Nat Geo’s Genius and ESPN/Nat Geo docs.
According to sources, the takedowns were a result of a library title review. There have been several content purges at Disney+ over the last year amid cost-cutting, most notably the removal of a slew of original series last May.
Here is a list of movie titles that are said to be gone from Disney+ in Emea, compiled by Drew Ryan.

“On day two of the coma, I started taking notes,” joked Kumail Nanjiani during a panel at this month’s Hamptons International Film Festival, when asked how he and wife Emily V. Gordon went from vigil-keeper and patient to co-screenwriters of the year’s second-highest-earning indie, “The Big Sick.”
Though the couple married in 2007 — months after their relationship endured the illness depicted onscreen — a half-decade passed before producer Judd Apatow encouraged comedian Nanjiani to write a film adaptation of their ordeal, which doubled as a terribly-timed introduction to his future in-laws. Screenwriter Gordon’s notes dramatically improved her husband’s first draft, and they proceeded to finish the script together, laboring over its development for the next three years, with guidance from producers Apatow and Barry Mendel and director Michael Showalter.

Acting is a career which often unavoidably requires great beauty. As such, many people are quick to criticize actors as being vapid and famous only for their appearance. However, some actors are remarkably intelligent as well as being beautiful and talented. Such is the case with the highly popular Danielle Panabaker. Panabaker rose to fame with performances in Disney productions like Sky High and Read It and Weep. She broke out with her performances in the HBO series Empire Falls, the drama series Shark, and a series of horror films. Today, she appears in the incredibly popular The Flash. While

The following story contains major spoilers about Sunday’s Penny Dreadful — proceed at your own peril.
What could be worse than Penny Dreadful creator John Logan killing off leading lady Eva Green? Logan killing off the show altogether.
Read it and weep: The Showtime drama will not be returning for a fourth season, meaning that Sunday’s Season 3 finale — which concluded with the death of Green’s long-suffering, demonically tortured heroine — was actually the series finale.

Another Cinderella Story star Drew Seeley actually provided Troy's vocals for the first film (and he wrote the...

Read it and weep, Divergent fans (Initiates? Divergettes?) – the only uprising that Insurgent could ever incite might be in its audience, leaping out of their seats and making a beeline for the theater doors. They’d be justified in doing so; after all, no fan, however faithful, likes the sensation of being cheated, and this stale, stagnant sequel, with its premium on special effects and failure to pull any genuine emotion out of its muddled plot, is a large-scale con job. Tonally confused, thematically misguided and blatantly cobbled together from other dystopian Ya franchise pics, it makes a strong case for retiring the increasingly oversaturated genre.
The first Divergent movie was not, contrary to popular opinion, a simple Hunger Games clone. Predictable, yes, and bland, in places. But despite its shortcomings, the film boasted a strong female protagonist (Shailene Woodley’s gutsy Tris Prior) aware and in control of her mind and body,...

This BBC audience reaction report was one of the first nails in Doctor Who's coffin in the late eighties…
“Not for publication” is printed at the top of the 1988 audience reaction report for Doctor Who’s 24th season. It’s there for the purposes of BBC confidentiality, but could equally be a pain-saving instruction to save Sylvester McCoy fans the distress of reading the show’s three-page death sentence.
Because this report is painful stuff. Compiled in February 1988 after the broadcast of McCoy’s first four serials as the Doctor (from Time And The Rani to Dragonfire), it doesn’t mince its words in describing audience apathy and antipathy towards late-eighties Doctor Who. Looking back with the knowledge that the wilderness years were around the corner, each unimpressed audience response and scathing comment feels like another nail being hammered into classic Who’s coffin.
To begin with, the numbers weren’t good.

Emily Asher-Perrin at Tor.com pegs everything that Steven Moffat did to River Song that reduced her from an awesome babe with a life and adventures of her own to a crazy chick obsessed with the Doctor. I could have written this piece. In fact, I’ve said much of it before. But Asher-Perrin gets it all down in one place:
In River’s introduction, she has all the power: she is the one who calls the Doctor, she is the one who scolds him when he’s being obstinate, she is the one who rallies the group and moves them along. In a telling move for the Davies era, it is she who grabs the Doctor’s hand when the first run together, not the other way around. She is taking him on as a companion in that first meeting. Ten is so moved by her near-death plea to preserve their time together,...

Former Disney Channel fans may have recognized a familiar face on "Mad Men" last night: Danielle Panabaker.
Note: Do not read on if you have not yet seen Season 6, Episode 6 of AMC's "Mad Men," titled "For Immediate Release."
In the most recent "Mad Men" episode, Panabaker played Daisy McCluskey, a flight attendant that was sleeping with Roger Sterling (John Slattery) and ended up proving helpful when it came to Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce (and Cutler Gleason & Chaough) nabbing the Chevy account.
The now 25-year-old Panabaker got her start doing Disney Channel Original movies like 2004's "Stuck in the Suburbs" (with current "Saturday Night Live" cast member Taran Killam) and "Read It and Weep," a 2006 Disney movie she did with her younger sister and fellow actress Kay Panabaker.
Watch her in the former below:

Harry Potter just set another record, and for once, the boy wizard has the Academy to thank. With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2's three losses last night, the world's most successful movie franchise of all-time became the most-snubbed top-grossing franchise of all-time. Read it and weep: Of Hollywood's five biggest film series (per BoxOfficeMojo.com stats), the now-concluded Potter franchise is the only one to never, ever win at least won Academy Award. George Lucas' Stars Wars movies won eight competitive Oscars. The James Bond adventures have picked up two. The Batman iterations to date own three wins, including a Best Supporting Actor trophy for Heath Ledger. The...

Read it and weep. Box Office Mojo: The Smurfs led for the seventh-straight frame on one of the slowest foreign weekends in recent memory. The movie added $12.9 million from 69 markets, around half of which came from phenomenal holds in Italy (down 6 percent to $3.8 million) and Australia (off 3 percent to $2.57 million). That brings its foreign total to $364.4 million, and on Sunday it eclipsed $500 million worldwide (domestic plus foreign). That makes The Smurfs the first non-sequel in 2011 to reach the half-billion-dollar milestone. Smurfasis mine. This smurfing ensures that we will get not just one smurfing sequel to The Smurfs, but probably three or four. Smurf.

The time is nearly upon us, the annual gathering of genre hounds, eager to experience the greatest, the most shocking and exhilarating collection of fascinating feature (and short) films of 2011 — Fantastic Fest, presented by Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin, Texas.

Yes, I am a Fantastic Fest virgin, but I am overwhelmingly excited to finally be experiencing this tradition that promises to be more than just a film festival. Having recently announced in three waves its lineup of feature films, as well as its short film lineup and even its special events, Fantastic Fest is now speeding towards us at full throttle, barreling into Austin with the force of a Texas-sized stampede of longhorn steers jacked full of Red Bull and Viagra.

There was only one part of this week's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" that I was looking forward to, and that was the scene where Damon tells Stefan about his werewolf bite. Those two are at their best when they're together.
As for the rest of the episode... I was completely dreading it. First of all, we've been warned left and right about how sad it would be, and sad things generally do not make me happy, for they are sad. Additionally, I figured that the actual sacrifice couldn't possibly live up the the hype.
I'm happy to say that I was wrong on both counts. Let's jump in, shall we?
Previously on "The Vampire Diaries": Elijah talked so much.
8:01 - Matt! In the first scene of the episode! Unfortunately, it's hard to get excited about his presence when he just shot Tyler. Why is Matt so comfortable with a gun?...

Good morning my doleful Droids and woeful Wookies, hopefully you have someone to share this May The Fourth with (it's a Star Wars pun. . .Get It??!). If not, feel free to follow my very sage advice in the headline. What's the worst that could happen? If you don't hold with the adorable axiom "Incest is best give your sister the test," you can drown your solitary sorrows in some Star Wars-themed baked goods, or, conversely, distract yourself with this highly technical analysis of Death Star economics. Overthinking it, indeed. (Overthinking It)

Danielle Panabaker has allegedly found a summer romance. Life & Style Magazine reported that the "Friday the 13th" actress was spotted cozying up with Zachary Abel, the actor who stars as Carter Anderson on "Make It or Break It", on Friday, June 4 at the Muscle Milk Fitness Retreat in Beverly Hills.
"Zach was by Danielle's side the whole time," a source told the publication. "She was on crutches because she broke a toe, and he even held her bag for her so it was easier for her to get around." The source further added that the couple even indulged themselves in a couples massage while at the retreat.
Danielle Panabaker is known for her roles in the Disney Channel films "Stuck in the Suburbs" and "Read It and Weep". The older sister of Kay Panabaker has since starred in several movies, including "Mr. Brooks", "Home of the Giants" and "The Crazies...
