Kate Micucci said Monday that she is cancer-free after having surgery a week ago following a lung cancer diagnosis.
The Big Bang Theory alum took to TikTok over the weekend to thank well-wishers “for of the good wishes and all the love” after revealing her diagnosis.
“I have great news which is that I am cancer-free,” she said Saturday. “The surgery last week went great, all the reports I got back are that it worked out and I don’t need to do any more treatment.”
She also thanked her nurses and doctors for the care and for “figuring [the diagnosis] out early, because I am very very lucky and I know that.”

Last Tuesday, Micucci, 43, shared on TikTok that she underwent lung cancer surgery December 11. She said the diagnosis was a surprise because she’s never smoked. “But I guess it happens, and so the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out — I’m all good,” she said at the time.
Mucci most recently was cast in a voice role for the upcoming animated Angry Birds Mystery Island TV series. Her other credits include NBC’s Four Kings, Scrubs, Till Death, Raising Hope, Steven Universe, How I Met Your Mother and Malcolm in the Middle, among others. Film credits include The Last Hurrah, Bart Got a Room and When in Rome.
Also an artist and a musician, she and Riki Lindhome comprise the musical comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates.

Considering that the previous 9 movies about the 30+ teacher of Bruce Lee included events for three lives at least, a turn towards the past was “necessary” in order for the franchise to continue producing unnecessary sequels. And just like Indiana Jones and Superman before him, the solution was to start focusing on a younger Ip Man, in this case in his years as student, also in an effort to draw in younger audiences. The result is not exactly masterful, but it is better than “Four Kings”.
on Hi-Yah!
Young Ip Man is pursuing his studies in Hong Kong in 1917, while there is also a girl, Ya Yun, who seems to like him, even if her aristocratic father is not exactly cordial to him. As the story begins, Ip Man is very happy to see one of his old friends and co-student of Wing Chun, Brother Hu, appear in Hong Kong.

Leonardo DiCaprio is now an Oscar winner but where does he stand in history?
If you're feeling celebratory -- and we've all lived through his rise into cinematic legend so why shouldn't we? -- you really need to check out this cute video of Leo getting his Oscar engraved or this silliness of a party of bros celebrating his win like mad men (hey it's better than the bro-ness of the pussy posse reuniting) or the once mocking memes that have turned into odes to Leo Joy. Good funny stuff.
Even if you weren't enamored with The Revenant (*raises hand*) or find it downright suspect, his filmography is so loaded with memorable films that surely anyone can find one therein to direct all their feelings towards in this momentous week for the 41 year old superstar. I'm choosing to view the Oscar as a career achievement Oscar for specifically prompted by Gilbert Grape,...

Game of Thrones, Season 4, Episode 2: “The Lion and the Rose”
Written by George R.R. Martin
Directed by Alex Graves
Airs Sundays at 9pm Et on HBO
As per usual, kindly avoid revealing future book spoilers in the comments.
It would be an understatement to say the “The Lion and the Rose” merely lives up to its hype; it nearly destroys the meaning of hype. Alex Graves directs an extraordinary instalment, grandly conceived, brilliantly executed and incredibly entertaining. It has passion, raw emotion, true terror, and a palpable sense of evil. Despite knowing George R. R. Martin insists on ending each wedding with a gruesome death, as a non-book reader, I was shocked with the end result. It’s also worth mentioning that Martin himself wrote this particular episode, only the third after “Blackwater” and “The Bear and the Maiden Fair.” This time around, he’s given us a royal wedding and in doing so,...

What do they call the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral in Westeros? Five Funerals! That may be an exaggeration, but you know the concept of matrimony is in trouble in the seven kingdoms when an adult dwarf marrying a teenage girl who hates him is the least-depressing of all the nuptials we've seen on Game of Thrones. Sunday night's much-anticipated royal wedding episode continued the trend, with one high-profile member of the wedding party biting the dust in memorable fashion. But like a good wedding, "The Lion and the Rose" made sure we were entertained even before the closing-act fireworks.

Earlier this season, Lewis worked as a consulting producer on David Kohan and Max Mutchnick’s CBS comedy series Partners, having previously served as co-executive producer on Kohan and Mutchnick’s NBC series Four Kings. “We are devastated by the loss of this incredible man and brilliant writer,” Kohan and Mutchick said. “We had the privilege of working with him on two shows. They were both joyous experiences. Our hearts and prayers go out to his wife and children at this time.” Lewis was a consulting producer on NBC’s Emmy-winning Office, where he spent four seasons. We here at Zap2it noticed something a little strange in looking at the resume of TV legend James Burrows ("Taxi," "Cheers," "Friends") Wednesday morning (May 16) following the CBS upfronts announcement of their new 2012-13 lineup: "Partners," a new comedy for which Burrows directed the pilot, is already on his list of credentials -- a sitcom from 1995 also named "Partners."
And there are more similarities than just Burrows as a director. CBS describes "Partners" as "two life-long best friends and business partners whose 'bromance' is tested when one of them is engaged to be married." The lead characters (played by David Krumholtz and Michael Urie) are architects, and Krumholtz's fiancee is named Ali.
The 1995-96 comedy from Fox is described as "Best friends Bob and Owen work together as aspiring young architects on the rise, their relationship complicated by Owen's recent engagement to Alicia."

10 years ago, NBC programs ranked among the most watched on television. In 2001/2002, the peacock had launched successful new series such as Law & Order : Criminal Intent, Crossing Jordan and Scrubs, not knowing that in the following 4 years, they would produce only 5 successful new shows while countless failed, prefiguring the crisis they're into since 2007, a crisis they don't seem to be able to get out of.
In 2002/2003, American Dreams was the only new show that worked, all the other were cancelled : sitcoms In-Laws (15 episodes), Ausa (12 episodes, 4 unaired) and Hidden Hills (18 episodes, 5 unaired), and dramas Kingpin (6 episodes) and Minister Sterling (10 episodes). Longoria, who is currently shooting the final season of her hit show Desperate Housewives, will lend her voice to Marley Wiener, an irresponsible mother who is still learning how to be a parent.

Don.t expect to see Eva Longoria in line for unemployment checks now that her long-running primetime soap opera Desperate Housewives is drawing to a close at the end of this upcoming season. Instead, she.s using the newfound freedom to line up several feature-film opportunities. Let.s hope none of them is a sequel to Over Her Dead Body. Variety actually reports that Longoria has four "diverse" projects in the pipeline for as soon as Housewives wraps. One, Long Time Gone, would pair Eva with Meg Ryan for a drama about a woman (Ryan) dealing with her husband.s infidelity. (Longoria would play the other woman.) After that, the actress is eyeing two independent films: Who Gets the Dog, about a divorcing couple squabbling over the family pet; and Four Kings, an historical drama set during the French and Indian War that also would star Brendan Fraser. Finally, there...

Brendan Fraser, to me, is a complete Hollywood mystery. He's got as many flops and he does blockbuster successes, and there's no real pattern to them. Just when you've given him up for dead again, after another Dudley Do-Right or Monkeybone, he strikes back with another Mummy film or Journey to the Center of the Earth. And yet, like few actors who have managed five $100 million movies, it seems we know very little about Fraser. He's Canadian. He seems like a really nice guy. And he has a terrible agent. He also seems like less an actor than a place-filler, although I've always enjoyed him in his comedic roles (Blast from the Past, Encino Man and even Bedazzled.
And just as we were about to give up on him again after the failures of the terrible Extraordinary Measures and Furry Vengeance, Fraser now has four movies in the works, including...

* Brendan Fraser has a career more resilient than any zombie could hope to be. A string of awful movies never seems to affect him, and even after a pair of duds like Extraordinary Measures and Furry Vengeance, he's busier than ever. With two movies already in the works, Whole Lotta Sole and Gimme Shelter, Fraser's just added two more historical tales to his slate. He'll be starring in Four Kings,...

If it feels like Brendan Fraser is suddenly everywhere, that's because he is. After being relatively low-profile for a couple years he is about to be in several films: he's shooting the Belfast-based heist comedy Whole Lotta Sole right now, will soon shoot Gimme Shelter (playing against type as a less than accepting father) and now has two new roles. He'll be in the 'sweeping epic historical drama' Four Kings (not a sequel to Three Kings, fortunately) that will shoot late this summer in Toronto with Damien Lee directing. And he'll play the title role in William Tell 3D (ok, not so exciting) from director Nick Hurran, a Doctor Who vet. More info on both new films is after the break. Deadline [1] broke word of Four Kings yesterday, saying that it will be "set against the French and Indian War that essentially divided North America," with Brendan Fraser playing " Colonel Lord Francis Nicholson,...

Without Johnny Depp would -- or should or could -- the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies even continue? That's the big question on deck after a recent article from The Hollywood Reporter.
With "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" just a few weeks away from release, the publication spoke with Depp, who has played the now-iconic Captain Jack Sparrow in the wildly successful films since 2003, about the future of the franchise and his place in it. They report that not only has Terry Rossio already turned in a script for a fifth "Pirates" movie which Disney wants to make in 3D, but producer Jerry Bruckheimer is a go again.
But what about Depp? He told THR the decision for him to take part in the fifth, yet-to-be-titled "Pirates," "Boils down to story, script and filmmaker." In fact, it sounded like there was some reluctance on the actor's part to sign on immediately.

Brendan Fraser appears to be planning something of a career renaissance, or at least a revival. Currently filming the fish heist comedy (I don’t know what a ‘fish heist’ is either) “Whole Lotta Sole” in Belfast, Encino Man plans to film a bunch more movies in quick succession over the course of this rapidly approaching summer. After the fish film, the star of the “Mummy” series will shoot “Gimmie Shelter”, about a pregnant teen shunned by her Wall Street tycoon father. Secondly comes “Four Kings”, a historical epic set against the backdrop of the French and Indian War. “Fraser, himself a Canadian-American, stars as Colonel Lord Francis Nicholson, a vastly wealthy Brit who self-finances the war in the hope of creating a utopian society in what is now Canada.” After “Four Kings”, George of the Jungle will lend his voice to the long-gestating, oft-delayed (it was originally announced in...

Remember Brendan Fraser? No? Uhh, Tarzan? Blast From The Past with Alicia Silverstone? No? How about The Mummy one, two and three? Okay, yeah, that guy. Apparently he is still a person who exists and occasionally works (even occasionally works out--we think he looks pretty good in the photo above, taken this year). How about that. We can't say the same for poor Alicia.
Fraser's shooting three movies this summer: the first, Four Kings, is an epic historical drama set against the French and Indian war in which the French-Canadian actor "will play Colonel Lord Francis Nicholson, a vastly wealthy Brit who self-finances the war in the hope of creating a utopian society in what is now Canada."

Exclusive: You remember Brendan Fraser, right? Whose movie career has been in the witness protection program since CBS Films' Extraordinary Measures and hasn't had a major hit since 2008's Journey To The Center Of The Earth 3D and The Mummy 3. But whose roles remain as eclectic as anyone's in Hollywood? Well, he hasn't changed his ways even though he's been absent from the box office recently. Fraser will star in what's being billed to me as a "sweeping epic historical drama" that starts production in Toronto in August. Four Kings is set against the French and Indian War that essentially divided North America. Executive produced by Todd Moyer and James Holt, the film is produced by Jeff Sackman (American Psycho) from a project developed by Telefilm Canada. Kate Micucci has landed a lead role on "Keep Hope Alive," Greg Garcia's comedy pilot for Fox.
The single-camera "Hope," from 20th TV, centers on Jimmy (Lucas Neff), a 25-year-old single parent raising an infant with the help of his quirky family after the mother of the baby -- with whom he had a one-night stand -- ends up on death row.
In a rare case of gender-switch during casting, Micucci will play the character originally listed as Mike, an unkempt, fairly oblivious cousin of Jimmy living in a tent in the laundry room of their great-grandmother's house.
Micucci, who has done arcs on "Scrubs" and "Four Kings," is repped by Gersh and Mosaic.

10. Hey Paula: Watching the spectacle of "Hey Paula" unfold is every bit the confusing and delightful train wreck you'd no doubt expect it to be. We move along to the ill-fated "Idol" satellite publicity tour, and -- much like Titanic -- we all know how that ends. Messy and fucking horrific -- with a big helping of the weepy jags. Unless you failed to turn on a computer throughout the entire month of January, it was hard to miss the smattering of Internet videos of Paula bombing interviews like a kamikaze in a Kubrick film, thereby capturing her crazy inebriated behavior for immortal YouTube posterity. Revision3 is getting serious about comedy lately. The online network that basically cornered the web with hosted tech-friendly shows—Diggnation, TekZilla, HD Nation—debuted its second scripted comedy web series today with Inst Msgs. The 13-episode series dramatizes real-life web chatter like personal Im conversations, Tweets, Facebook status updates and even Craigslist postings. Creators Ann Le, Justin Simien, and Mathieu Young developed the series after Simien spent some "research" time at work perusing the Missed Connections ads on Craigslist. You know, those shot-in-the-dark type postings hoping some unrequited eye contact stands a chance at something more. There's also the Craigslist personals, another gold mine that Simien and his cohorts mined heavily. The opening episode (above)—"My Women"—is one of these treasures, bringing to life an actual rant of someone in Detroit's dating biography. From there Simien put out the call to friends to send him stored Im conversations and...

Call it David & Max -- Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are teaming with CBS for their next comedy project, which is loosely based on their friendship.
The network has given a put pilot commitment to the untitled multicamera show from the Emmy-winning duo, to be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Kohan and Mutchnick's studio-based KoMut Entertainment.
Kohan, who is straight, and Mutchnick, who is gay, have been friends since their teen years at Beverly Hills High School. Like "Will & Grace," their project for CBS is a buddy comedy about a quartet of characters -- a gay writer and a straight writer, who are best friends, and their hot young assistants.
Kohan and Mutchnick are writing and executive producing the show, which marks the duo's second collaboration with CBS. The two executive produced the network's comedy series The Stones, which was created by Kohan's sister Jenji Kohan.
Kohan and Mutchnick most recently created and executive produced the comedies Four Kings for NBC and Twins for WB Network last season.
