- Pedestrians are mercilessly killed in the streets by police officers. A woman is knocked unconscious from an explosion and awakens in her car with severed limbs on her lap. People cough up blood. A man is bludgeoned by a military officer and then gassed to death.

- The script consists mainly of swearing. The main character hardly says anything else.
- When everything spirals, so does the language. The amount of f-words is pretty much uncountable(unless you're an expert critic). There is also some scatalogical and anatomical slang, plus some religious profanity(some combined with the f-word out of panic).

- This entire film hinges on dramatic suspense that attempts to maintain intensity throughout. Characters spend most of the film not knowing if their loved ones or even they themselves will survive being contaminated. The wife character must be constantly alert for police presence to avoid being captured and possibly killed.
