Maria Pechukas' last role.
Director Jay Lind took all the most erotic and bloody elements of the original 1872 Gothic novella to an extreme never seen before by adding extensive sex, full nudity, and violence.
The nude woman in the poster isn't one of the actresses in the film. It's a stock photo used for the promotional art.
Maria Pechukas was married to writer/director Jay Lind at the time. They divorced a year later.
Director Jay Lind said it took almost three years to shoot the movie because actress star Maria Pechukas, who was also his wife, was suffering from mental health issues and had to be hospitalized several times. As a result, the story got muddled. Though he said they did end up with very good action sequences and attacks.
